I took Japanese in high school and liked it quite a bit. I wouldn't mind learning some other Asian languages, either. The problem is that this would be nothing more than a hobby for me, and that makes immersion rather hard to come by.
RCUAI
Took a while to get the results to cooperate. Also, the results don't come in the format you asked for, so I hope I did the translation right. Is the last letter supposed to come from Openmindedness or just from Intellect? (If the former, switch my last letter.)
Yep, this should be pretty easy to determine. You just need to look into the lower level functions. Are you Ti or Te? Ni or Ne? The Typelogic profiles you mentioned break down each of the individual functions, so try to see which set of functions fits you.
I agree with the above, although I'm still looking for my first programming job. My ideal employer is definitely a small firm (or a large company that acts small). I feel like working within a small group would be vastly superior to working with a constantly changing set of clients.
And that's...
There is truth to this. I get an early philosopher's stone to help mitigate the low creep score and to sustain better in lane. Laning with a friend also helps quite a bit.
Really though, I don't even play LoL unless my friends are on. It's amazing how much more fun it is, even if it's just two...
It's a little silly to type someone based on a single forum post, but I'll do it anyway. IMO, you seem to have a lot more Ne than Ti. Even in your "INTP" section, almost all the traits you list can be attributed to Ne. INTPs do have these traits, but they are secondary to our Ti. Based on this...
I've always found it interesting that when we are reminded of something, we can usually say with accuracy whether or not we used to know that thing. Or that our minds can somehow remember something that they had previously forgotten about, all on their own.
Hmm I'm pretty sure that whatever I choose, travel will be central to the experience.
I'd also like to think that I'd be pretty generous with it and spread the wealth around to my friends and family.
Other than that, I think I'd let my P-ness do the talking and do whatever strikes my fancy.
It still applies. And "industrious" person is likely to just start digging, giving no heed to where the dirt lands. They're also probably more likely to do something like throw out their back or get dehydrated. I think a "lazy" person is probably more likely to stop and consider these things...
Well, you're right about one thing. I don't have much interest in Socionics. That's about it though.
"No one fits neatly into anything" is a load of pretentious bull, if you don't mind me saying. Neat doesn't mean perfect. If that statement were true, the entire study of typology would be...
I actually see this as being part of the point. If the work needs to be done, and the motivation is there, then it will get done, lazy or not. And if the work's getting done anyway, what's the point of hiring a workaholic? Why not hire someone who's naturally inclined to improve the process...
Hahaha. You'll have to do a lot more typing than that to get a tl;dr around here.
Disregard your username and BARE YOUR SOUL!!!!!
(My avatar fits this post pretty well :3)
Yes, I understand that. I'm not trying to make any conclusions about Socionics vs MBTI or anything of the sort. I realize that they were developed independently and that just because they use the same letters doesn't mean they mean the same things.
All I'm saying is that I don't seem to fit...
On one hand, I can see it being annoying if someone did this to me, but really I don't think it would bother me unless they were repeatedly wrong and didn't stop.
It occurs to me that this interaction can even be treated as part of the conversation itself. If someone finishes my sentence and...
I don't know about E/I being the easiest, but otherwise your method seems pretty sound. Personally, I prefer to start at the lower level of the functions and gradually apply a process of elimination as I get more information.
Really though, knowing a person's functions is more useful than...
Now, I would certainly never talk over anyone, but when someone I'm talking to pauses to think of a word or something, I try to finish their sentence. My guess is that this is a side-effect of having Ne as my main perceiving function.
Anybody else do this or find this annoying? I can see how it...
I just read through both of these to see if my previous position was inaccurate. Now I remember why I gave up on socionics before.
Simply put, both INTp and INTj seem to fit me halfway. The dominant functions of the INTj fit me well, but the lesser functions don't. And while I don't relate to...
Actually, the socionics INTp translates roughly to MBTI's INTJ. This is simply due to a different naming preference. In MBTI, the last letter tells you which function is extroverted. In socionics, the last letter tells you which function is dominant. I believe the letter is lowercase in order to...
I don't know what he means by "passive" exactly, but it sounds like he's just doing the typical INTP self-doubt thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but feel free to intervene with some encouragement if it gets out of hand.
Heck no. Routines are the best.
Nagging an INTP means that you're telling him to do something that he is either opposed to or undecided about. Reminding him means that he has already agreed, and you're just making sure he doesn't forget. Reminders are appreciated. Nagging isn't. If you seem to...
First of all, forget the tests. The free ones you can find online suck.
Now then, do a little research about the different types, and try to pay more attention to the functions they use (Ti or Te, Si or Se, etc) than the letters in the name. If you can nail down one or two of your functions...
I guess I'll add my thoughts. Anything I don't mention I agree with completely.
It's also entirely possible that he's never even fallen for anyone. At any rate, you can use this as an excuse to ignore some of the usual social rules. He certainly won't care. I'd give examples, but I don't know...
The article definitely doesn't spend enough time talking about bad professors. I'm guessing this is actually the #1 reason for STEM major changes. One or two bad professors in the wrong classes will absolutely screw your chances of advancing.
And It's not like I'm talking about petty stuff...
Making friends isn't that hard for me, really. It just takes some time because I suck at going out of my way to do it. Basically, I'm good at becoming friends with the people I'm with all day anyway.
Case in point: In college, I became good friends with a bunch of my Computer Science...
IMO, the second you start talking about logical deductions, you are outside the realm of science.
Science, as a word, has grown to hold many definitions, but strictly speaking, science is the knowledge gained through observation and experimentation. Note the difference here between "knowledge"...
I believe gragas is mostly played as a squishy AP nuker, whereas blitz is some sort of off-tank support dps. I guess you could say he's got his own role.
Easily my favorite champ to play, though. He's just too much fun. Especially if you got a few friends to coordinate with.
Hehe nice.
I think I agree with the others when I say that the only way to work on creativity is to just use it. Luckily, using your creativity is often just a matter of having fun. Games of all sorts are very creative activities, especially if other humans are involved.
Does this happen around other people? If so, you may be able to call her out on the ad hominem fallacy and get some support from them.
If not, counter with "Why would I want to be wrong?" and walk out like a boss.
Well, theoretically speaking, it should be the E_FJs.
Smiling doesn't bother me too much, though. I'll agree that excessive cheerfulness can be annoying, but I don't run into that very often.
Actually, an abundance of resources reduces fertility rates. First-world countries have much lower fertility rates than third-world countries. This is mostly because children represent an economic burden in first-world cultures, whereas they are a more useful resource to families in developing...
I always sort of imagined this working in the other direction, with the INTP poking little holes in the INTJ's conclusions. Then again, I'm not sure I know any INTJs.
Care to share any details of the debates?
It should be noted that English subtitles are usually superior to English dubs. There are some notable exceptions to this, though, including Death Note and Fullmetal Alchemist.
Also, if over-the-top, hilariously epic robot fights are your thing, check out Gurren Lagann.
Edit: Sorry, I can't...
Well the real question here is: Do you have lead Ti with an inferior Fe, or a lead Fi with inferior Te? The differences should be pretty drastic.
Do you often pause to think when talking, or is your best thinking done out loud?
When you get riled up, do your emotions threaten to burst out and...
All sorts of games. The only genre I really shy away from is RTS. Multitasking and quick decision-making aren't exactly my strong points. I enjoy watching them, though.
Also, I prefer team-based multiplayer to 1v1 or free-for-all.
I've noticed that I'm pretty bad at coming up with plans. Like, I'll take a while to decide on one, and even then the plan will probably change along with the circumstances. In practice, this ends up taking forever as I constantly reassess the situation.
However, if I'm GIVEN a plan or a set of...
