It is indeed a comfort to observe others who are similar, definitely.
Observation is always beneficial to refining understanding.. :3
Which is actually why I don't relate to what you said, though. Do you mean you burn (discard?) data? Wouldn't it be counter-productive to do so? How about...
If you're using personality types to comfort a specific sense of isolation, and make you happy about yourself, you don't possess the necessary detachment to know whether your conclusions are correct/warranted or a simple craving for the soothing effects that belonging to that label provides...
Socionics has the ordering of the functions incorrect - and I find they don't have the right idea of how functions are paired. In that sense mbti is more accurate.
But the mbti j/p is less accurate than socionic's j/p. Still, neither are entirely on the mark. ^^;
The possibility of ISTP is quite low, although the online profiles of ISTPs will probably resonate more with you.
The online profiles of ESTPs basically assume they're all witty salesmen, or jocks who love football and partying on the weekend. Although there's some truth to that, not all ESTPs...
I have an ESTP brother, if that counts for anything. :3
What Words said is actually rather true - it is what I would call Ne Short Skits. They are constantly generating short (often improbable) scenes that could emerge from the situation, and for fun's sake they'll play them out. Sound effects...
hi there synthetix,
um.. well, maybe have a list of questions or topics to go through?
per example,
a. what is most challenging about being intp?
b. how would you describe your thought process?
c. how does an intp approach an emotional situation?
d. what are your interests/hobbies? projects...
Auburn?
Short: Y-yes... but when you compare to Melly, anyone is!
Long-Winded: Hmm.. I do write long posts?
Collector of Secrets: ...maybeh? :phear:
Photoreceptors: o.o; i dunnowutchatalkingbout?
Purple Ninja:
Lonely Girl:
Silverette:
Ceg!!!
@ElvenVeil - That's more or less how MBTI describes it.
But the system-tendency is actually a secondary effect. And really only a secondary effect of Te/Fe. It manifests most in Te/Fe dominants: the creation of people-systems (cultures) and mechanical systems.
That said, it actually is...
Agreed, yes. Though it's definitely a start! =P
More videos taken at different times would surely aide in the deduction process. Um, I've been interested in typology for 4 years now. In the last six months I've taken an interest in visual reading but it's not perfected quite yet.
but welcome...
Hi,
This one's difficult. I think the 'stoned' thing may be affecting things a bit, yeah. ^^;
What I think I can tell is that you have Fe+Ti, and Ni+Se, but it's a tentative impression. Don't quote me on that just yet! xD I won't pretend to know.
but welcome to the forum nonetheless~
Hiya! Welcome!
You have quite a lot of energy. If nothing else, you're surely an E--P type, but..
I suspect you may actually be ESTP, just from this one video.
There is an earthiness to you, a "familiarity" with your environment and the way you talk about your interests that I see more in Se...
@Reluctantly - oh! Were any of those posts directed at me? o.o If so, I apologize if I've neglected them. Please lemmy know of any post I may've missed...
@negativemotivation - Sure thing! I'm all for helping people discover their type. :3
ESFPs are actually quite independent and can fair well alone. Um, I dun much like this question.. c.c ..but if it had to be answered, it would be ESFJs.
Fe is more prone to act out on insecurities than Fi.
Si not wanting to let go can cause stalkerish and overly pushy behavior as well.
Yep. Type can be identified in childhood as well, and is in fact where it often appears most clearly - because we act out who we are before we had to censor ourselves to whatever environment we were forced into.
Depending on what environment we're placed in, we may exercise specific processes...
This is complete bs.
And by that I mean it's not even accurate in the MBTI sense, much less the Jungian sense. Type is *not* like clothing you put on, mix and match differently each day.
As long as we're talking about a theory, it should be talked about how it was intended to be interpreted...
Oh neat thread. Minuend is definitely an Ne lead but I can't say with full certainty what the second function is. @Minuend - the way you described your discerning functions sounds like Ti+Fe... hmmm. :cat:
I don't mean to confuse you minnie~! sowwie if i am. x.x
edit: but this thread is a good...
@ayn - Thanks! That was quick.
You're actually an ESFP (or SeFi, as I prefer to call it)
But before I get a shoe thrown at my face, I need to explain a few things, lol. The online profiles of ESFPs are really messed up. In fact, all the profiles of S types are extremely underrated, probably...
(nyah! sorry I didn't answer the first time! mentally i did ^^; )
Yes, of course. :3
And yes, I'm pretty confident I could read your type just via body language and facial expression, or at least narrow it down substantially.
Questions, yes. Um.. something like:
What is an average weekend...
That's a good sign - if you relate to Matthew Gubler's mannerisms as INTP then there's a fair chance you've properly typed yourself I think.
For INFP, the cues to look for are:
Discernment Lead Rigid Body
Compass Dead Eyes
Fi Sprite Voice
Fi Inner Bubbling
Ne Unreal Eyes
Ne Eye Deflecting...
Hi ayn, I sympathize with your confusion.
You're not the only one who's thrown for a loop. You probably don't know about this but a rare few forumers here have developed the ability to read type via video.
I'm pretty sure I could narrow it down for you if I saw a video, but without that, the...
@scorpiomover - That's an interesting post. I can see some more merit in Isabel Myers' efforts now, yes. So I think I'd omit this part:
I suppose maybe in general the MBTI will place you in a proper quadrant of personalities, which is better than "nothing at all" - especially for forced labor...
yeah, they're crazy insane. x_x
I remember the Johto elite four was a joke compared to the rapeage that was endured in Kanto the first time around.
Even if you know exactly what to do and what comes next in the storyline, the Kanto elite four still beats you to the ground. :'(

*just can't go unposted* ;P
edit: teh poster looks sumthin like this
edit: blagh! teh ninjas.. :phear:
Hi @Zionoxis
Though this wasn't directed at me, I'd like to answer: I do have beliefs of what a lot of members here's true types may be, but I don't share them unless asked to. But you're right that an outside perspective is important.
Your self-consciousness is itself a telling aspect of your...
I kinda agree with Dapper Dan, (why is it that i always agree with Dapper Dan!)
Though anchors do help *trigger* memory, and are really needed for me. Like, I pay attention in class and just bullet point all major information. Writing that much doesn't distract from the listening, and it gives...
Aye.
It's rather a gathering of people who have common interests and some similar habits/tendencies. So long as that is what you're here for, then I suppose it isn't relevant.
However, if your aim were to actually learn things pertaining to your psyche and how to develop/utilize it efficiently...
This actually hits the precise mark of where I am hinging/debating with myself at the moment. =) Um.. I'll answer it further down.
Once again, well spoken. Yesh, I think that static qualities (nature) are more potent than dynamic ones (nurture) though both play a key role. The basis I used for...
Hi there!
Sure, yeah. I actually plan on relaying information all at once on the forum in a few weeks. I apologize. At present it's not entirely ready (mostly, though) but you'll definitely know when it is. :3
No single quickie i could give you would satisfactorily answer your question - or do much more than reinforce conceptions that may or may not be rightly aligned.
That said, if you mean a column of figures on a spreadsheet, whether you enjoy it or not is far too vague a criteria to measure...
