Can't speak for anyone but myself. But I tend to be somewhere in the range of half an hour to a couple of hours early for everything. It gives me that extra bit of security when I choose any seat (normally the farthest corner) and have time to size up the room.

That's a big and very vague question. What is 'socialising' defined as? If it's going out with friends casually then probably once every three months, if it's speaking with someone you're familiar with then every day of my life.
