Odd. I don't have a fear of insects, elevators, flying, or heights. Interesting that water/drowning came up a lot. I don't think I have enough experience with the sea to be sure if I have a fear of that.
I've a slight fear of socialising, obvs. I didn't answer a ringing telephone for years, and my own mobile calls were often only 30 seconds long and were only made to arrange a time and location so I can speak to someone in person. I now use the phone a lot more so I can advance my career, but at times I still experience a slight hesitation before making a call or attending a social event.
Like flow, I'm afraid of I'm concerned about infrastructural collapse, and things occurring out of political stupidity in general. Inflation has been my number one since they cut the base rate to 0.5% back in 2008. It might be because I've researched issues like these more deeply than most people, so I'm aware of how horrible the country's situation is. Widespread hacking and private data leaks on the internet unsettle me too. I've got some really strict privacy setting on Facebook, you can't even see my photos, but I'm sometimes concerned that my behaviour is monitored on acquaintances' news feeds because I forgot to untick a box. And then there's those personalised ads...
Losing control of myself, such as through too much alcohol, sudden blushing, nerves, and so on during an important moment.
Huh, I didn't think I had many fears until I wrote this post. I suppose what connects all of the above is that the fears are quite rational; they're not 'phobias' because they're grounded in fact, or anecdotal fact WRT the first and third fears. I guess this is a result of my T in INTP. It's made me a rational but also fairly inhibited person, so two out of those three fears are about handling Fe situations without rationality to anchor me?
