I had a slight existential crisis and loss of direction today. I was gonna make a thread about it, and the underlying causes, but instead I took a long walk around town, while listening to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells followed by VDGG's album Pawn Hearts.

...and praise prog, I'm saved! For now. So,

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
Van der Graaf Generator - Lemmings
Van der Graaf Generator - Man-Erg
Van der Graaf Generator - A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers

Bigelf - Madhatter
Death - Rock 'N Roll Victim (the hardcore punk band from seventies)

a couple songs cheering me up...
singing Willie Nelson's 'On the Road Again' all day, and listening to Tito Puente (Castellano que Bueno Baila Usted, namely)

Oh, Frank Zappa's 'Dancing Fool' and 'Trout Mask Replica' by Van Vliet i have been listening for happiness too

the sheer monotony and greyness of being back at school calls for feelgood Zappa music, Tito Puente, light-hearted country and Carl Stalling brighten the day somewhat

I'm feeding a budding music crush on Pete Seeger inspired by the recent Labor Day festivities. If anyone is familiar with old timey / folk / labor themed tunes, please send them my way.

I've been in a rather vengeful/bitter mood most of the time lately, so my music's gonna be like that.

I like apocalyptica's music, they need to write more of their own songs.

I listen to this a lot after having to deal with people fighting and being forced to listen to it.

I can really relate to the lyrics in this song. And ya, I listen to Three Days Grace a lot.

Okay, some less depressing stuff.
