Actually there aren't that many arrivals: after Dahut opened the floodgates, around a 100 registered; now it's back to a sedate 5 or 6 a day.

Most haven't posted, yet a few have announced themselves in Introit.

Hello intpforum,

I prefer not to draw too much attention to myself as I think it's a much more natural way for mutual empathy to grow over time than for people to announce themselves and expect others to see them in the same way as they claim to be. I think that understanding truly grows, and that social relations are subtly and beautifully rewarding when that understanding grows around less self-centered discussion and engagement that such announcement permits.

Anyway, it would also surely be rude for me not to give a few facts about who I am. After all, complete lack of knowledge can be just as artificial as elaborate self-description.

I am a 14 year old girl from the Qingdao region of China. I found this forum because I am very interested in the work of Carl Jung, and because reading him led me to an understanding of the general patterns of my own personality and a hope that I might find others like me. I'm not so keen on modern Chinese culture, so I was very happy to find a site like these, even though it was not open to registrations when I first came across it.
I currently attend university in Beijing on an accelerated learning program. My main interest lay outside of this curriculum though (honestly I prefer not to discuss university aspect of my life, is this is acceptable here), mainly in ancient East Asian philosophy, art and poetry and in the philosophy and art of some movements outside of East Asia.

Other than that, I hope that you may come to know me by my views and the way I relate to others, and that I may come to know you in a similar way.

I can't really express how happy I am to have found this forum.
