Come to think of it I can't remember what his original name was.

I'm puzzled by the "adjective" part of Decaf's.

HINT: The adjective has nothing to do with their name, and everything to do with their choice of avatars.

@ Decaf: Enne? The best way I can describe Enne's current/long time avatar is...limp. That's an adjective!

Melkor? Hasn't his named changed a bunch? He's lonely. He offers constant resistance for no apparent reason other than his whim. Plus, he doesn't hang around as much as he used to.

Nobody is correct! Congrats lor!

and I feel I must explain my logic a bit. 'Lonely figure' & 'no relevance/impact' is a reference to his name and old style of avatar. 'Enigmatic' is a reference to his current avatar, and 'resistance' to his latest name Fedayeen. Of course 'less of a shadow' refers to his disappearance.

I thought about mentioning puns, but that would make it too easy. ;)

HINT #2: The adjective is often used to describe this member.

... I hope that's not true about Enne ;)

OK, so it looks like its harder than I intended... what if I said that the adjective was a color?

A cypher - one of two... also a muse to the maddest of mad-scientist minds....

An easy one. ;)

Has this been done yet?

It had to be!

Did you see how he wrote his name in light?

What is our next riddle, oh crafty one?

For all ze has tried to tell us; we have not listened or paid the slightest heed. Of course, in truth, ze does not speak our language; so how could we hear? Ze speaks with conclusion, ze seeks to lecture, and while hir premise is noble; ze will never succeed with one-sided discussion.

(ze and hir are gender neutral pronouns)

@Noddy

Probably a good omission. I would have thought you were terribly conceited. You probably think this song is about you. Don't you? Don't you? :D

@Nyx

Perseus?

Poetically crude, like bacon-wrapped cow chips.

Now that I think about it Perseus really matches the description, but he's not who I had in mind.

Inappropriate Behavior?

edit: No it's not blob either.

If its not Perseus, then I'll go with Anthile's choice till I find some inspiration :tinykitball:

Inappropriate Behavior?

Yeah, I suppose that was a little to easy :slashnew:

Nope.

If you google his name, the first result accuses him of being a spammer.

Sapphire Harp?

If so, I think I'll take a pass on making a riddle - I don't know people here nearly well enough to create a clever one.

Why restrict these to mere text? Why not pictures, comparisons to beliefs/people/symbols or songs?

This isn't another one of your infamous, dastardly psychological artifices is it? Blithely (the blitheness was overwhelming!) suggesting an idea conceived of and proffered by another [me] literally like three posts ago, thereby planting seeds of doubt in the already cognitively cocked-up victim which at some point in the very near future will blossom into full-bore paranoid schizophrenia...'he must have had some idea, otherwise how would they have known that the vast majority of riddles in this thread were textual rather than pictorial as stated in post-in-question...he/she must be doing it just to f*ck with me, right? What if it was just an honest mistake? Who am I? -> success. Is this what's going on? Or were you expecting a response of this sort? Have you already won? *loses mind*

You are correct that I was referring to you. Thank you for vaguely getting it in an ignorant way.

Please explain yourself [your intentions...just this once], alleging ignorance on the other party's part is an easy claim to make when nearly every member of this forum presumes you to be some sort of hyper-clever smalltime sociopath neuronaught. For what it's worth I don't believe you, I'd wager you saw an opportunity to uphold this 'reputation' in my most recent post, and pounced.

You're trolling me now and having it appear as if you are the victim. Funny. Oh, and I was implying copying you was the riddle which indicated your identity as the sbuject. However, as you were unaware of the precise intent, you stated the right answer with the wrong reasons for it.
