aww nice.... I saw these live 27th Feb this year. supported by Anti Flag. amazing concert.
i sent a friend a review..
Flobots - Socially Conscious White Man Hip-Hop ...but they weren't actually that bad. with a myriad of gimmicks. the black guy rapper demonstrating a certain prowess in Robot Dancing, and a massive I R A Q held by the same black guy while the white guy rapped in a rhythmic and fervent way, if a little uninteligeble. though i did make out 'It's Really All Quagmire'. and virtuoso violin solos spread throughout the undeniably good songs. 7/10

Anti Flag - take to stage and immediately launch into 'Fuck Police Brutality' they were awesome in all its definions. playing a lot of Blood and Empire songs and a rather fantastic cover of The Clash. during the Smartest Bomb the crowd barriers protecting the sound desk were felled during a circle pit and caused a hilarious catastrophe as all the sound engineers and on site security franticly tryed to rebuild the barriers while rampant punk rockers jump, run, and fight less than a metre a way.
i can only describe this as Pure Punk Rock and struggle to imagine a better band. 10/10

setlist -

Fuck Police Brutality
...I'd Tell You But
War Sucks, Let's Party
Underground Network
The Press Corpse
Turncoat
Good & Ready
The Smartest Bomb
1 Trillion Dollars
I Fought The Law (The Clash cover)
Modern Rome Burning
This Is The End
Cities Burn

Rise Against - They storm on stage along to the most impressive (blinding) Light production i have seen and a massive flag hung as a backdrop with 'RISE' written across. this was dropped after 2 or 3 songs in place of three gasmasked men in salute. the songs they played were incredible (playing a lot of 'Sufferer... songs and a few good ol' hardcore songs). the 2 song acoustic performance was great, Hooray for Punk Rock Acoustic Balladry! not too many new songs but Re-Education and Collapse were played excelently, and State of Union and Dead Ringer seeing McIlrath screaming like a posessed banshee and Drones and Ready to Fall were just purely staggering.10/10

setlist -

Drones
Give It All
State Of The Union
Ready To Fall
Injection
Re-Education (Through Labour)
Chamber The Cartridge
Dead Ringer
Behind Closed Doors
Life Less Frightening
Like The Angel
Collapse (Post-Amerika)
Heaven Knows
Long Forgotten Sons
The Good Left Undone
-------------------------------
Hero Of War
Swing Life Away
-------------------------------
Audience of One
Prayer Of The Refugee

I'm a big fan of Jazz, so half of the songs on my Ipod are from the 50's and 60's, I love Fusion as well.
I'm also love classical music so anything by Tchaikovsky or Beethoven

My 2 favorite songs of the moment (have been for some time now):

Porcupine Tree - "Trains" (Album - In Absentia)
Opeth - "Deliverance" (Album - Deliverance)

Might be the 2 greatest songs ever written. To me anyway. ;)
(And that's saying a lot considering my lack of decisiveness.)

I'v been listening to Breaking Benjamin lately. Sooner or later, so cold, had enough, Until the end, had enough, the diary of jane, blow me away and firefly. Until recently I only knew a few of Breaking Benjamin's songs. The other day I decided to look up more of their discography. If anyone recommends a song I may have missed, please tell me.

Excellent song, Carn. I like the way Mr. Merritt uses short lines to express things. Not many singers can do that effectively. The same guys can repeat things, and it doesn't seem silly. "I love it when you give me things." That's very pretty, aside from a meaning that someone could pull out of it as a superficiality; materialism. I somehow know what he means by that, and it has nothing to do with presents really so much as an awareness; aknowledgement. Now I love this song, probably for the same reason you posted it. Thanks! :-P
