So, I spent the past two hours walking around catching Pokemon. I was really looking for an Eevee that I could metaphorically cuddle but no luck >=(.

Got 26 pokemon but not a single Eevee >.<. Also, I learnt how slow of a walker I am as I only walked 4 km during those 2 hours(according to the game anyway), though it was half dancing half walking >.>, meh. It was surprisingly fun...

I will get that Eevee eventually and then I will cuddle it all day long. I just need to start thinking of a name. *mumbles about stupid evasive pokemons*

I still play on Gameboy Colour haha.

Pokemon Go. It's a recently or soon to be released app (depending on were you live, you can also just download it from the web instead, which I did) for the mobile phone.

Basically it gives you the real world map and makes you walk around to catch pokemon. (Tracking you on the map with gps). The pokemon randomly pop up as you walk and you get a bonus for visiting landmarks (there are many). Haven't tried pokemon battles yet.. Bassicly trying to make you a "pokemon trainer" irl.(They even have gyms you can somehow join and everything).

The last pokemon game I played before this was red.

I really wish I hadn't sold my old gameboy, really missing pokemon yellow rn. I had an old busted or rip off cartridge which made all the text come up as gobbledegook so I had to make up the plot in my head as I went along.

When you played as much pokemon as I did as kid you could sort of figure out what to do, all that mattered were those sweet pixels. I even had my own pokemon fan club of which I was the only member, I had one other friend who was into it as much as I was but he pissed me off by being better than me at the game, I had a tendency to stick with my faves so I would have an unbalanced pokedex whereas he would get them all up to an equally strong level. I had Colosseum and Gale of Darkness on GC and he didn't so I got one over on him there

Surprised that location makes a difference, I assumed they would've programmed it so the pokemon appear at random regardless of location. I imagine it would be possible to create something like this without having to rely on an internet connection, no?

I guess I could try bushwhacking through the woods and see if I find any actual creatures there. No pokemon were said to be nearby, but maybe the locator isn't as far-reaching as it appears?

edit: On a serious note I'm glad you liked it, I'm worried however that I won't be able to sustain it for long, think I'll run out of things to write or get too esoteric for it to have any kind of following plus I'm hyper-critical of anything I do.

My best friend has pissed me off so fucking much, we're gunna come to big time blows.

He's pretty much been blanking me for two weeks, even though I haven't done anything wrong.. I've got an idea of who might of said what to him tho, and he's gone off in one of his little faggoty Enneagram 6 strops.. Like I'm in control of other people's mouths (?!)

Well he wants to, because I'm at the end of my patience.. and if he really wants to fall out, he'd best think this through wisely, because the person who actually pissed him off wants to hurt him, and I won't stop them unless he decides to face this and face me like the fucking adult he's supposed to be.. rather than petulant child he simulates.

Most arguments make us stronger.. But this one, this one will not end well, and he fucking knows it... Or he should do.

Haven't bothered with the last few Pokemon games although in a sense they are undisputed classics, still hesitant whether I should do Go, certainly would make me fit in. You can easily sink thousands of hours into a Pokemon game so that's what I'm worried about, still, looks fun and like something I can hobby since it's accessible. All these new accessible mobile games worry me but I'll probably get into the market once Nintendo goes fully in and Capcom probably does an app Street Fighter or Mega Man. Not simply ports or emulations. I just need to devote all to my current games, possibly add PokeGo to it but hopefully me not getting in on it doesn't make me boring.

One could at any point have stopped and looked at those statistics and discussed what role race plays in them, if any. Instead, people will look at one single instance of a person getting shot by police, and get all worked up and start spinning narratives and infer all kinds of claims about the state of the world. The image people have of reality in 2016 – it's all built on memes, viruses of the mind.

Going to bed at 5 and waking mid-afternoon this weekend has messed my sleep cycle up and I know I'm going to probably do it again and pull another all-nighter in front of the computer and screw myself over for work in the morning.

Even uninhibited extraversion seems to be primarily a mental, introspective exercise for me. I can make people laugh, but i have trouble connecting. I refuse to let anything hinder my self-expression, but at the price of not being able to trust or bond with anyone. I am a creature of surface. Probably it is the right way to go and the healthy way for me to interact, at least currently.

Same issues here. It has to be the right kind of person. Someone who's either similar enough to you in x facets, or greets opposing/strange views/ideas/topics with open arms and a genuine interest (instead of the common polite tolerance).

I think broadening the field is the most recommended strategy. Put some real effort into searching for the like-minded. Clubs, local events, Meetup.com (haven't been able to find the right groups in my area, but I've seen a large list of interesting clubs outside my area), online dating (if you have more bravery than I).

I've noticed that those feelings amplify when my current state of living is below par. The level of interest/excitement/passion I have in my own personal activities (projects, work), along with how good I feel about other aspects in my life, minimal stress, all help to quell the loneliness.

I still don't have a person I speak my mind to / really connect with. When I do have genuine sessions of shared interest with others, I perk up for days. I think it's a vital resource to have in terms of living happily. It's becoming more and more apparent that I have to amp up my attempts at finding others if I want to really want to get some use out of this whole existing thing.

A tip is getting a Beedrill and doing 1 attack dodge 1 attack in combat, it makes him immune to normal attacks(shame that he is really weak and the AI often uses undodgeable special attacks... still pretty effective.) Unfortunately, I am really under leveled because I half dance to my music all the time...

It's also by far the most effective weight loss app ever.

Though, the battery drain is real... I would be playing right now if not the battery.

Howeve,r I doubt I will be playing it for long, its the kinda game that will get boring quickly.

As a side note Bradley Manning tried committing suicide last week. I always thought it was weird he decided to become 'Chelsea' Manning after all that bullshit. Timing was just so fucking odd. Not sold on it all myself. But I'll never know.

I just spent the past 2 hours trying to solve a 'remote device or resource won't accept the connection' error to the point where I had reset and disabled all the browser settings and performed a system restore to no avail so I ended up doing a virus scan and writing some code to flush and reboot the entire system (risking losing everything as laptop is new & not backed up yet) in event of a worse case scenario like some malware or a trojan virus being discovered then about half-way through I realise I still haven't tried disabling the proxy in the browser...

Literally took 1 second and it's fixed....
