Any suggestions?
You could have an INTP boyfriend or husband.
I do like cats better, though.
QFT! I would get a cat, but I'm afraid I'll mistreat it
Uhmmm.... not to hijack your thread, but what kind of breed is this? I would love to get one, that's not deaf of course.

I've heard that mini-Dobermans are a nice breed that would fit your criteria...
I only have experience with largish Shepherd Dogs (German Shepherds and Border Collies) myself so I can't vouch for any others, although a friend of my had a Doberman/Roc cross that was smarter than many people I know...
Get one of those robot pets; they fit all the criteria and more.
If it must be a specific breed, this site tells you all about them:

What about cihuahua? They're small, doesn't take too much place...and if they get annoying, you can kill them with raticides.![]()
This meets few of your criteria, but:

Suggestions for a puppy... let me see...
*Watch out for cats, they will take their revenge on dogs upon the little ones.
*They say toilet water tastes nice, you may want to look into that.
*Master the puppy eyes technique, it will provide you all kinds of goodies.
*Your thin pupppy teeth are very pointy and hurt a lot, use them well.
*Shoes are good to practice your fighting skills, destroy as many as you can.

There's a lot of breeds that can have the solid white color. The face looks like that of an American shorthair. Abyssinian is possible too.
Hmmm, gotcha. I was looking for white Persians, but they all have sad faces...
If you want something calm, make sure it's fairly submissive rather than dominate.
Dominate dogs no matter the breed will always be more energetic, although that isn't to say that they can't be calm either (I have an akida mix who dominate yet has a wonderful temperment when it cmes to humans), but you're more likely to find what you need if you opp for a submissive dog.
No Kidege. What Dissident said was witty, not cute. There is a difference you know! Akin to the difference one noticies when picking strawberries and gooseberries. One leaves a bad taste in your mouth, the other is sweet in small portions.. . I beleive deciding which is which defines your mentality....

Any dog can be made submissive. You simply must become its leader, it is a natural part of dog psychology that there is a leader and there are followers. I simply do not have the motivation to dominate a powerful breed, which would be necessary for them to find peace. If it is not dominated, it will feel the need to dominate its owner- they need order.
No, any dog can be naturally submissive or dominant--it's part of their personality. Some dogs are born alpha material, and if you're not firm with them they'll challenge your authority at every turn. Similarly, some dogs (poor things) are born omega material, and they'll just roll over for anyone who comes near them-- they're content at the bottom of the pack. It's got little to do with the breed and everything to do with the individual dog. It's hard to know how a puppy will grow up, too, although if you see one which is confident and approaches you boldly, it probably has a dominant personality. And if you see one pissing itself in the corner...
Other that that, I third IB. Get one from a shelter, definitely, and if you can, see their mother first, for an indication of what the puppies MIGHT turn out like. A cross-breed seems like your best bet, too. My experience is mostly with collies and other sheepdogs, though, so I can't help all that much.
