Wow, I didn't know you guys would react that way, I posted it because to me it showed that feline can mourn just like humans would. I thought it was quite fascinating, it really didn't strike me in an emotional way. Guess i'm too detached?? didn't mean to toy with emotions here.... hmm guess i should have explained myself first before just putting it out there.

I wonder if people would react the same without the music. Most likely no.

People are projecting human characteristics on the cats. I wonder how the intjs would react to this. lol

I live?
I didn`t quite react so emotional, but my speakers are turned off. But I really feel sad when I see the expression of the male kitten.

Heh, suffering seems to be the only universal method of understanding.

Don't worry, I dedicated my life to the destruction of suffering long ago.

Perhaps... Suffering is needed, but could it be channeled?

I would glady take that role, I seem made for it.

The cat isn't giving a "cardiac massage", it's trying to hump the "girlfriend". DX

facepalm.jpg

A male cat has amazed some onlookers with his behaviour to a female cat after she was hit by a car and left dead on the street in Kızılsaray district of Antalya, southern Turkey. Having seen the darling lying on the ground, the male cat started making massage-like movements, to bring the beloved back to life. The scene was likened to a cardiac massage one by onlookers. The female cat was taken to a veterinary polyclinic for treatment but died there…

People'll attach sentimental value to anything it seems, even via exaggeration. How's that for a sentimental reaction?

My INTJ friend would declare war on whoever taped that and kill him personally in the most gruesome way possible.

He wouldn't for a puppy though. He hates puppies. What a fucking dick.

MY INTJ friend cried.
But she likes kittens.
:)

Every type has feelings. I wonder why everyone tries to make INTJ's seem like they don't.

J types are just more selective than others, which in combination with the emotional repression of the NT and the general social aversion of being introverted makes the INTJ's sympathies very selective indeed.

Pity the fool who triggers a display of an INTJ's Fe :phear:

It was interesting to see what looked like desperation and sadness for another animal from an animal. That is definitely very rare. It was also odd that the cat was pressing on the other like one would for CPR. This seems to be more coincidence than an uncanny ability to know how to resuscitate a mammal. It reminded me of the feeling I had when my dog died.

That affected me almost immediately; music is such a powerful thing. I agree with most people on here though: that was in poor taste.

I watched part of it, I found it quite fascinating. then I noticed the music and my mind said: "they're trying to illicit an emotional response with lame music, screw them." after which I skipped around, much more disgruntled than fascinated.

Of course, I don't give a damn about cats, as it's a common pet (owner is unoriginal) and does absolutely nothing useful for it's hosts (unless it's a mouser, and then it gains some respect). A cat is nothing but a fuzzy leech on humanity.

I'll have to agree with that. >_> My parents have a cat that does that *quite* often.

Cat's don't know what cardiac massage is, they don't know what's inside them (aka. they've probably never thought of 'heart'), he probably thinks she's sleeping or something. I also doubt they can understand what death is.

I do believe that they have emotions and grief like humans do. I've heard many times of cat couples, from which another dies and the other weakens and sometimes dies soon after, as the living cat loses his appetize and seems to long for his companion... and having a cat, it's easy to see their emotions. It doesn't take a genius to realize that your cat is pissed off at you because you patted him in the wrong way or that he's lonely when his owner is away for a week. Or when he feels joyful, curious or affectionate. Fear is quite easy to spot in animals too.
