I'm the newest INTP to register to your board.
I'm 19, healthy, majoring in Cybersecurity at Stevens Institute of Technology and a brother of Sigma Nu.
I've go through stages of being exteremly into my current passion.
In the past it was reading, video games, computers, psychoactives (especially psychedelics)
Nowadays its fulfillment, knowledge and chicks.

About Me:
I'm honest and like to speak my mind
but sometimes I say stuff just to get a reaction

I love chilling and and having new experiences
but I also need a lot of time to myself

I don't like to control people and strongly dislike being coached, schooled, or manipulated.
but I do enjoy debates and other logical problems

Maybe my attitudes best explained by looking at my role models:
Hunter Thompson, Kanye West and Tucker Max

I was 90% introverted and a pretty shy and awkward kid
Until I worked on getting rid of my social anxiety
Nowadays I have barely any inhibitions

A good ENTP friend of mine told me
That I was like him minus his inhibitions

Then I came across this:

As for trying too hard, I can try as hard as I want to, that's my privilege.
But to be honest, I'm a competitive guy, I like winning at what I'm good at.

To me caring about coolness is about presenting a good image to the world

You see, everybody has there own structure (how they view things should be) of the world
In your structure mature people don't care about being cool and immature people do
In my structure, I don't try to make a connection between maturity and being cool
I feel that both mature and immature people can care about being cool, its a personal life preference.

Chrisid I have no idea if you are phony or not and am not about to try to make a judgement as that route didn't work too well for me before. However, can you not see how dissonant those two statements above are? 'if you want to be successful you should present a good image of yourself' just sounds like ENTJ 101 to me - precisely the kind of advice most of the INTPs on here are fairly sick of hearing irl. 'what many people don't realize' - that does sound a tad arrogant which is what I suspect is drawing some people's ammo. But presenting a good image of yourself is exactly following society's standards!

I can understand if you feel a bit defensive getting negative comments from the outset, but perhaps if you could stop writing in verse, come down from your mountain top and simply talk to us and show some interest rather than expect us to pat you on the back for your great wisdom (most of which isn't actually yours) then you might find that you could get to know this forum and enjoy getting to know the people on it - so again, welcome - we just want to know why you're here? What are your best hopes from being here?

I wasn't a loser, I was successful at what I cared about
Which was computers and video games
Not being popular
As I got older, my priorities changed
And I put my mind to new stuff
Not necessarily all of the world's way of thinking
But I did take some knowledge from their book
I don't find myself happier thanks to that
I find myself happier thanks to being more fulfilled

As for being a phony,

I admit I present an image of myself to others
since I want to be successful
and how other people view you
affects how people treat you

I don't change my essence to be part of society
you should ask people who know me what they think of me
I'm a very unconventional person
It gets a lot of people pissed off
I've been told I'm a polar person
(lot of people like me but a lot of people hate me)
because I'm different, I'm an INTP
and I'm not willing to give up that essence

But I am willing to use my INTP powers
to act like an ENTP and understand the sytem of the world
instead of being like an INTP and only understanding obscure/esoteric/other systems
I want to get somewhere in the world

Yes, I mentioned that INTJs eat babies. It's totally true. Most types are too lazy to even find new babies to eat, but not INTJs.
