Firehazard, you just called me a paranoid. And I agree with you.:ninjahidewhite: I suppose I see your point.. Thanks for sharing, hopefully I'll find it less compromising to make mistakes in the future.

@LAM: I think I should try it some time... @Firehazard159: I hesitate more online, because what I say remains there for others to read.

    Escaping reality

I do it often, sometimes without noticing. In the absence of a book or music, usually thinking of hypothetical situations does the job. I'm not sane...

The joy of learning you are an INTP

I couldn't disagree more. To me, finding out meant that I could finally stop trying to be someone I was not.

That. I suppose it's a common thing here, but I still feel self-conscious. @LAM: I've also learned a lot from the forum, only that by lurking. As for getting different perspectives, I suppose I have enough with my own , and more of them would only make things more complicated.

I also wonder where you find the motivation to post so many long threads. I admire that quality, since I'm too lazy to do so myself.

    Kalle Kappner

Has anyone else heard of him? He's a very good piano player. I don't know much about metal, but I found him when I was a Last.fm user. He covered Pain of Salvation, and some other songs. Didn't know them until I listened to him, though. You can download his music here. What do you think?

Lazy, Drunk, Drugs, Depression. INTP experiences from this forum

Lazy: definitely. Drugs: only alcohol and ciggies, so far. Hope it stays that way. Depression: maybe. Back in the day I wouldn't notice, but looking back I now see my behavior wasn't normal. Agreed.

What songs are you listening to? /Redux/

Bank's solo album is good. My favorite song is "Fly as you might", though I can't tell why. Currently listening to "Troubled Waters", by Cat Power.

What Pisses You Off About INTPs?

Audentia, you omitted the first part of the comment: "... I don't like how tactless they can be. I don't like how their desire not to be censored can make them cruel and emotionally dangerous. They care more about being free to act like jerks than about being sensitive to the needs of others...

    What's your 'Art'?

Well, I used the first example I found, and the painting is actually titled "No walk today", so yes, sort of like boredom. I like Ermine's examples.

How Did We End Up Here

I think it's more like we do have an unalterable essence, but that we develop certain traits depending on what we've been through.

    What's your 'Art'?

To me, art is a form of expression that uses symbolic language, and through which feelings are transmitted. A random example:

    A message from the gods...

Thank you Adymus snowqueen :) And, Cognisant, I don't think I'll ever understand either.I'm both awkward and bad at jokes, so I'm pretty much resigned.

Haha, I hadn't seen it that way, but it makes sense.. Yes, I just got it. :o Gee, I'm bad at jokes... (I was gonna say I suck at jokes, but didn't sound appropriate) Thanks, Cavallier :)

    Lucid Dreams

I had a couple of lucid dreams during my childhood, but now my mind has taken such control over me that it makes me believe I'm awake and doing what I have to do when I get up, when in reality I'm still dreaming in bed.

    A message from the gods...

Sometimes, but the shipping is quite expensive, and not always worth it... they (the gods) are rather temperamental, you see... Why the blush, bluesquid? Thank you, echoplex :) And I rather not be provoked. Like you said, not necessary for insanity displays. No one had mentioned any elephant...

    Free Games you play

Submachine has already been recommended... so, by the same creator, Daymare Town is quite good as well. I also enjoyed Trapped a lot. The story's sort of lame, but I liked the series.

You know you're an Intp when...

haha, true. When you have the answer but can't quite phrase it to explain what you are actually thinking. And when you find yourself staring at a brick arch, trying to fit the bricks into an arch in your head (or is that just me?)

    A message from the gods...

Apollo sent me to say hi. Actually, he didn't, but hi anyway. On a side note, the first time I took the the test it classified me as an INTJ. Not true, though. I ran into the MBTI a couple of years after, and every time I took it I came out as an INTP. Perhaps I was too young the first time, or...

How many hours do you devote to studying...

I feel the opposite way. In high school I would spend HOURS studying; homework used to be simpler, though, easily done in the last minute. In college I simply DON'T study, but spend more time doing homework (essays and the sort, which can take me from two to eight hours-- overnight, since I am...

    Introducing myself

Well, I depend a little too much on my 6th sense, so that's where my confusion resided. And Wikipedia messed up with me. But, you're right, then I found I don't care about people enough to be an F. Thanks for the welcome, I suppose I'll have to get used to reply :p

    What was your childhood like?

I relate here. I don't have any siblings, though, but I remember the obsession with being always perfect. I had perfect grades, and didn't get in trouble. Actually, I was a quiet and shy one, at least among other kids. With adults, though, I would be very talkative and opinionated. My family...

    Intp~the perfect criminal?

The other day I found "assassin" listed among the INTP's ideal professions. Don't remember where, though... As for the lack of motivation, I have to say that, at least to me, it is true. One of the main reasons I don't break the law is because then I'd have to deal with the consequences, and...

Have you ever been told you think too much?

Actually, sometimes I'm the one telling myself I think too much. When you are surrounded by people who see thinking as negative you begin to feel the same way. Luckily, when I find myself alone again I go back into believing thinking is good. About the over-thinking thing, I'm with...
