I'm of the opinion that we're just in the wrong world.

I figure when the first moon colony opens up the public it'll fill up with early-adopters and we will create a nerd kingdom :D

I'm thinking we have certain sections of the new world split up according to personality :]

Supposedly INTPs are rare, hmmm. That's why i haven't found anyone that enjoys the things i do. Only a few.

Hi. I suppose most of the time I hava a preference for INTP behaviour.
Yeah, unfortunately in the environment I live I too haven't found anyone that enjoys the things I do, except one (thought I dun know if he is like an INTP).

I don't get it though. Statistically there are 70,000,000 of us. Where are we scattered?

I think we are not this scattered, but the problem is most of the INTP are not really sociable (am I wrong?).

I dunno..yes and no... I'm not sociable unless I can get something out of it, or unless I need other people for a scheme (and I'm havin a J kind of day...). I have learnt over these past few weeks that learning to better handle being around ESXX's can actually have it's uses. As for most INTPs, selective to no sociability is probably the norm..

You could always take up hacking ... that sounds like a good INTP pursuit.

I agree with you about selecting with who socialize is probably the norm.

Supposing it is not common for a person with INTP behaviour to "go out" and look for people which he will socializes, the problem is you cannot select someone you didn't meet (probably).

As a consequence, if someone who tends to INTP didn't meet a lot of people, there is a reasonable chance that of this small portion he would select an even smaller portion which he would spend some of his time.

If two individuals with an INTP behaviour, follows this pattern, thus both socialize with only a few selected individuals, the chance of these two INTPS being part of the other is circle of acquaintances is not satisfactory , is it?

Now going back, RubberDucky451 and I said that unfortunately there are really few people like that in our usual environment, our situation is quite similar, from my point of view, is this situation similar to some other person who tends to INTP behaviour?

Adamastor.

P.S: I apologize for my crap english.

I like INTP's and INTJ's but they are all shut up in their houses on the computer. It feels like I have to go on random houseraids and inspect people glued to their computer screens to find them!!

Precisely! Isn't there any way to make you intp's more socially adaptable? I'm INTJ but I push myself into social situations to have the possibility of making good friends.

I had moderate success with psychedelics(lsd and dmt had the best results) but I stopped years ago because I don't have enough friends with a good enough mindset to experiment with that anymore. Not to mention all the SJs running around on a witch hunt. Last couple experiences were downright frightening and took me awhle to get over, all because of some people who I thought were my friends. I am a lot more social than I ever was before trying them but thats not saying much. Most people have the mentality that all drugs are poison so they add more poisons to them. By that logic a double bacon cheeseburger is a heart-attack waiting to happen so I might as well add 2 days worth of salt, and a stick of butter to it since its already bad for you. getting off topic here

anyways, lately I have been working on getting myself to at least go for walks every few days and I am going back to college again with more classes than I've taken in years. School and jobs that force interactions can help me to some degree but I know what I need, just not the right people in my life to experience it.

Normal people are boring, conventional, narrow-minded, they think it's great when they meet someone at a business function or whatever, that later turns out to have gone to their high school, I think it's sickening. Like living in a primitive village where everybody knows each other, or rather that they know each other's lives so well that don't actually need to know each other.

Here people know nothing, assumptions are evident, chaos is conventional, perspectives innumerable, we're all meeting for the first time. There's an honestly in this, a lacking of preconceptions, rules are made to be broken and memes are meant to be twisted. In the real world I'm that weird quite guy who doesn’t have the decency to care about the latest social developments, the one who wants to talk about stuff nobody else thinks about, the strange loner who's happy being left alone.

If we want to meet people, it should be because we think they're worth getting to know, that they're interesting, not because there's some perceived obligation to be social so as not to be an outcast.

Give me a reason to care, and a way to not be apathetic to the extreme and bored out of my mind. I don't want to feel this way, but it's happened nearly every time I've tried to push myself into a social situation.

Actually I don't find anything wrong with social situations.

I generally don't mind people. They're the ones who hate me.

Precariously perched on the border of I and E, here. I love social situations and being in the spotlight but only in small doses. I have little tolerance for the continued presence of small minds. If I end up in a situation like that though, I usually try to explain the situation and make people understand (they get one chance), but I have absolutely no problem exiting the situation in a completely civilised manner and enjoy my own company, something which can be mistakenly interpreted as passive-aggressive storming out and pouting, but again, this doesn't matter, since it's the irredeemable small minds who are doing that interpretation.

And what everyone else said.

I am new and I may also be a traitor. I am both INTP and ENTP (XNTP). I think it just means that I have two separate selves... friend self and work self... I'm just impressed that such a basic test could weed "us" out so easily. It's strange being both... it's like I'm REALLY confident that I am always on the edge of failure. I basically annoy myself because I am both of these people. Ugh... can I kill one of them or does having both capabilities of extroversion and introversion make me well balanced? Ahhh... fiddlesticks.

You never expend energy under any circumstance? You're continually recharging both when socialising and when you're alone? I wish I was you.

Hi

I'm a INTP but can be mistaken for a INFP or ESFP

Astrologically I'm a cancer sun with virgo rising (western) or a ox with snake or horse rising (china)

Numerologically I'm Nr 9 (with 4 & 5 blended through it)

Enneagram tells me i'm a 4 with a 5 wing or the other way around

I live in Western Europe, have redbrown hair, likes weird music and women and can be a nutcase from time to time
