Yes, i agree with Anthile.
Let's show new members Not guilty untill proven otherwise, the beneift of the doubt. If a new member should actually be proven to be a troll, well then we can do something about it. But if we just attack every new member because we think it might be some troll, then we are probably driving away many new members, which is the contrary of what a forum should be.

I'm finding this ''you're XIII and everything you say proves it further'' trap hard to get out of. Of course I'm talking about him... somebody just filled a 7 page thread with accusations about it.

I've read the recent threads about him, and lurked a little while before joining. He's interesting.

Now can you all just shut the fuck up? What is with this forum? Seriously, this is fucking absurd. Look at yourselves. I thought that the members here were the smartest and most interesting I've seen on the internet... but then this?

I would like to post this to call attention to the hysteria and accusations that are flying around. Seriously, this isn't the 1950's, nor is this Salem. Don't fall prey to negative base emotions and fear; we can all be better than that I think.

Let the mods and admins take care of 13. It's not an average user's responsibility, and it impacts discussion/quality of the forum.

If you don't believe in multiple accounts, submit that and some rules so that the rules can be amended and things can move forward.

I think it is pretty easy to spot who is XIII and who is not after a while.

Wow this is pathetic! What is the point of all this? If you want your own message board, build one. There are many free ones you can sign up with. Anyone who gets their jollies this way really needs to get a life!

However, it is better to turn a real poster into your zombie. This is someone whom you can make your "best friend" by pretty little [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif][FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]pms[/FONT][/FONT]. Having a "red shirt" who will jump in to take that bullet meant for you is priceless. It ensures your continuation on the MB and may give you a martyr.

I received pms from XIII which I ignored - I notice that most of the people I have suspected of trolling have 'invited' people to pm them. Remember Metteyya did that to me rather than reply to my post about Alice? It's happened with the current incarnation too - the bait is usually more esoteric information about something like visualisation techniques or specialised knowledge.

I think awareness is a greater weapon then banning in these cases. If they can't destroy us, they will move on. The most important thing is for members to be aware and not get suckered. In my opinion, we have some troll's bitches on this forum that just make the troll's job easier and everyone else's lives harder.

Really, am I alone in seeing the patterns from the article showing up here? How much PMing goes on behind the scenes to rally support? How many dual identities are/have been here? How many behind the scenes best friends do we have here that support one another in adversity when, if they act right, there should be no adversity? How many here are willing to take a bullet, or already have, for another member's bad behavior?

It's not just XIII, but the best way is to strip them of power is by not allowing them to divide the people who are really trying to make a genuine contribution here. I don't even know if that's possible.

And to be honest, I'm not even sure XIII started out as a troll. I wonder if he was genuine to begin with, but became a troll when he didn't like the response he got. I think he wanted to be worshiped in this place and when he wasn't, he lashed out.

I know this will make some people mad (in true trolling fashion), but in my opinion Face is the original troll extraordinaire here and he has followed the patterns in the article to a T. Some of you have been suckered into it, but the question is, will you ever admit it?

But again, that's just my opinion. I know he has his fans.

EDIT: I know I am talking about it, but Thaklaar is right. I just think we need to establish a precedent of recognizing it when it occurs and know when to just ignore it. (Is this like fucking for virginity? )

My official investigations (I have been avidly reading through XIII and Face's entire post history since one accused of being the other, or perhaps even accused me of being himself, if they are the same person) suggest otherwise, noidoits.

XIII's introduction thread was named ''hail discordia'' (and discordianism is a cult which does things called ''operation mindfucks'' for fun), and he said ''fuck you'' to one of the very first respondents to his posts. He also began advocating looking at gore sites to harden yourself against soft emotions very soon after joining the site. I don't think he was ever genuine, but I haven't had as much time to evaluate the situation etc.

I do think that snowqueen is quite... unbalanced though. She goes around the forum posting about one person and accusing everybody of being him. She writes obsessive replies as if somebody just cheated on her as well. I think maybe she should do some relaxation exercises, or have sex more, or something.

It very much worries me that such people are allowed to work in the mental health services.

Well noidoits, somewhat clever people can often be unbalanced in many ways. I doubt she could have passed her self off in the mental health service unless she was clever, so I'm sure she can make clever forum posts. I'm sure she has a lot to offer, but that doesn't change what I said.

At first XIII kind of annoyed me, than he made all these fake accounts and satisfied my assumptions of him. Haruhi is not XIII...unless XIII was Face in which case Haruhi is XIII.

This is in response to the forum closure thread. I've never run a message board before, but how hard is it to suss out the duplicate accounts and just delete them before they go out of control? How about IP banning?
