Hello all, I just discovered that i am an INTP. For a long time, well 10 days, i believed that i was an INTJ but after joining their forum and lurking over here i realized i had more in common with you folk.

So...um...hello.

Hmm, maybe i should talk about myself...I'm great, wow felt good to get that of my chest.

Oh? Are you two already acquainted?

And yes thank you, I would love some cake.

(Our Melkor - that's Morgoth here - used to be forever offering tea parties, but he never did pour anyone any tea.)

Well someone has to love you I guess....

Well...no wait..I'm confused...

I mean the boy in the striped pyjamas.(but the book theif is similar and also good)

basically he pronounces fuerhrer as 'fury' and in the entire book the author only uses 'the fury' as a result...

Yes...

The tea was just a metaphor for the jam..

and the jam was just a metaphor for something sinister..

Hahhaaa/..sorry inside joke....

Ah no. the reason for my name is a long and boring story so i won't tell it..............................................................................................................fine fine.
When i first joined the INTJ forum, i came to the registration page and saw in that little box (y'know the one with the numbers and letters that you have to type into another box for some reason) the letters F, R and Y so i came up with the name The Fury, a sort of nod towards the series Metal Gear Solid, in which all the enemies have names like 'The Pain'. There satisfied, i told you it was a long pointless story.

Wow thanks, i feel like I'm home *sniff sniff*. This is definitely a better greeting I got than over at the INTJ forum. Some guy threatened me with a baseball bat there. It could be because they're all a bit too stiff and i ended up insulting a lot of them.

I've always loved dogs which turned to a love of wolves when i first saw one attack a zookeeper.

Welcome to the forum. :D

I see you've met the resident demon child... :D:evil::D

I kinda like Morgoth, he reminds me of Kyle, one of the voices in my head. (He's the one who sings over and over:

Jesus loves me this i know,
for the bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong,
They are weak but He is strong)

I think I have a certain resentment to being the punching bag...

But masochism squashes that resentment.

Pftt....

Bishies are resourceful, I'd make an almighty sword with their tears, a rope with their fine hair, and survive by eating their eyes.

Then when it's all complete, I'd wave them goodbye and climb free , slashing at random, before neglecting to leave the rope, and running off to hunt down and destroy you. saffy dearest...

With a name like chocolate i can imagine why you came to this thread. I'm afraid all the cake is gone though, Melkor ate it. Greedy bastard. And don't worry about the bat, I only use it on people who annoy me.

Hmm, your avatar says you love Paris...

Perhaps it is lack of sleep that is causing a wee bit of double vision or the fact that my head is cut off (still not dead) but are you calling the Fury a gay eel?

The chainsaw? It's someone's artwork. I didn't save a link but it came from a website of a woodworking artist.

It's really good, if it's actual wood. I couldn't dream of making that chain out of wood. ...Do you ever not have a picture ready to post up on the forum, in response to any situation, IB? Google images serves you well...

It's all a matter of knowing how to ask.

I don't know if it is a single solid piece of wood. I can't see any lines in the wood that looks like it's been glued together. I imagine it is possible with patience and persistence. Must be an S or something.

The Welsh have made chains like that for centuries. The entire chain (usually joined to hang around the neck) is carved from one solid block of wood. It was the traditional and pretty much obligatory gift from a man to his fiancee or wife.

My mother calls me "a walking repository of potentially useful information." I'm suspecting it might be an INTP thing.

Do I need to bring a cake to post in this thread? If so, how about some old-fashioned gingerbread cake? On top, lemon curd or hard sauce, your choice. *borrows the chainsaw to slice the cake*

I do get a lot of support...but it wasn't always that way. I was a rather difficult young woman, INTP can be a hard road to walk. But it's *amazing* how much smarter my parents got as I got past my 20's. I think Dad's an INFP and Mom's an INTP.

Fury, hard sauce is traditionally made with sugar, butter, brandy and rum. But whiskey is sometimes used: <http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1640,152190-252201,00.html>

You should have tried being in my house when i was young. My mother's an ESFJ and my brother's an ESFP. My father was an INTJ, but he's J is very powerful so he tends to be dominating and a bit of a bully. So overall, i got little support or the wrong kind of support meant for an E not an I. My family often says they still don't understand me. No wonder i tend to kill homeless people to get rid of my anger issues.

Oh and the sauce tastes pretty good, could do without the butter and sugar though.
