Maybe using torture to force idiots to accept reason is a worthy life cause.

Not my thought, but my I/ENTJ brother asked me what it would be like if every month, someone's crappy idea came true.

Some redneck with only a few dollars left foolishly enters the lottery and wins, or ISIS attacks Russia in the winter (hoping that one happens).

"Be careful who you date, a lot of people arent looking for love, they are looking for help"

Ain't that the truth. Pretty much all of my romantic interests seem to be looking to be 'fixed' some how. It's so annoying. I don't want to have to 'fix' anyone, been there done that, bought the Tshirt.

And if its not an emotional 'fix' they're seeking, it's another.
Seems I just can't catch a break. I just want to meet someone who knows there own self worth and genuinely seeks partnership, not all this attachment bull crap.

As an example - and not a current one - is the ex who I broke up with last year; he was dumped by the mother of his children a year prior to our meeting, and he had limited access to his kids. He was devastated. He was convinced that the way to solving the emotional hole was by recreating his family with me .. obvs, I had one brow raised the whole time, and things eventually got to heavy and I called it off.

Not that long after our break up, he's in another relationship repeating the same scenario. Not to long after that he's in another, and this girl is now actually having his baby, and they're engaged.

He's a top bloke, and she'll be well loved..but the mere knowledge that he obviously wasn't too fussy about the person who was filling this role left a bad taste in my mouth.

If I wasn't so guarded, I would have been fulfilling a role in some guys misguided fantasy of happy families, unbeknownst to me that any other girl would have sufficed.

In fact, that's third ex I've had like that.

Black tea is amazing! I made the switch over from organic coffee just a few days ago, already feel loads better. might have to do primarily with the diminishment of cortisol over the long term, a side-effect of the black tea. I think coffee just raises cortisol, would explain a lot.

no bad breath either -- some think it actually kills bacteria and the mucus they generate that causes/facilitates formation of plaque. the tea actually helps with stomachaches, doesn't cause them like coffee easily can.

I drink about 4-5 cups a day, but it's so mellow it feels like I can drink it all day, nonstop, and not feel at all bad. got a large pack of Newman's organic.

tannins, polyphenols, catechins, theophylline -- some of the phytochemicals apparently involved...

Lucy walked up to a crippled old tree that was rotting near its roots. Lucy needed to get past the tree and so she said "move tree". The tree did not move and it stayed silent. Lucy then paced around the tree telling it why it should move. She reasoned and reasoned until the sun fell and the moon rose over head but the tree did not move and it stayed silent.

Lucy was running out of options. Commanding did nothing. Reasoning did nothing and now all that was left was to accept that the tree was never going to move. So Lucy looked to the heavens and the moon and asked "if anyone is up there listening please make this tree move". Lucy, exhausted, plopped against the tree releasing a sigh as her hairy bottom hit the ground. Instantly the tree collapsed. Lucy excited thanked those in the heavens for their gift. It was then that Lucy realized that God is more powerful than reason and she renounced reason and followed the heavens. So began the human race.

I've got to find some luxury item to sell. Both the oil and the currency have 'gone down the toilet'. Apparently rich Chinese have found out this too, and is buying all they can of luxury items.

I was thinking making something special out of cow excrement There is actually a whole lot of goodies in this substance.

I'd be pleased if I got soaking rich from Chinese money.

I am trying to quit coffee now. In the end, it only makes you a jittery idiot with a badly functioning stomach and too little sleep.

What did you learn from the experience?

Don't tempt fate.
And 'Double Jeopardy' is now a clause which I fully support, if I didn't before.

If i had any less respect for language and its shadow, i would try to make this sentence be about something.

Fried lettuce is underused, but it is an underuse of hope and not of tragedy.

The one i'm not is very present.

Would you guys adopt a compensatory bitterness if you had an extremely happy job managing important life events such as spontaneous weddings and other relative and/or love related rituals?

OK, so now I'm paying the price for that stupid thing I don't this morning.

When you've done something wrong (morally),, and you know that nothing you say can can fix it, what's the best course action?

I would love to, but I remain bound by some perceived societal shackles.
All I know is that the last time I owned up to something like this, I was completely humble, it was interpreted as cocky... probably because my decision making skills at these times are somewhat cocky. Damn.

depends. According to the movies some might become depressed and lonely instead.

Leave. Do everything you can to avoid the situation for about two days, giving you and whoever else was involved time to think about what happened. Then figure out how to act.

How severe was the morally incorrect action? Was it a minor thing or a pretty major thing?

No. People value different things. Some are happy from playing fallout hours on end, others from getting wed. I don't see why their idea and perceived value of a wedding is a problem in itself. There are probably critiques one could make, but are they worse than that of a gamer or other enjoyable past time?

I also don't see being happy as better or worse than being sad or angry, so I wouldn't feel worse working with happy people than "realistic" whiners so to speak.

"Best" course of action depend on what you want to achieve. Do you want to alleviate your guilt? Their feelings? Reestablish the relationship with them? Other?

if you want to make them feel better, then perhaps the only thing you can do is leave them alone if your action was severe enough.

Lul. Thats what I was going to do. Unfortunetly I got caught out before then.

Morally, it's debatable.... But in my heart I spose I wouldnt like it done to me, and thats the code I try to live by.

Difficult to say anything specific without details. But I guess you put yourself first in a way that hurt someone else? Would you do it again? Would you attempt gain that person's favor just to wreck it once again?

If you want to respect that person, then possibly the best thing is to never speak to it again. Even if that person forgives you, that might be an indicator of a personality who is unable to stand up for itself the way it should, or a personality naive and thinking trust where there is none.

Nah, I'm not a repeat offender. I'm grateful for my chances.
I have breached a friends trust, she's not exactly been an upstanding citizen herself.. But still. I've fucked up. I think i'll have to just leave it.
More than 10 years of friendships tho. I wish I demonstrated better restraint.

When you smile for a photo, it is more socially accepted, and probably perceived as more socially intelligent, to have a standard fake smile as opposed to a real smile conveying emotion. The fake smile shows that you understand the rules of social play, and at the same time have an emotional intelligence which prevents you from smiling and giggling for no good reason.

In other news, I've been banned from facebook for 72 hours because I supposedly uploaded child pornography.

I was in the middle of a huge upload, but I certainly didn't upload any such filth.

I did have a few snap shots of some Royals in some rather compromising positions however...

and is anyone here bored enough to collaborate on something with me?
In the realms of conspiracy and politics... I dont suppose we have any Rosicrusians in our midst?
