So two girls have asked me to some high school dance at two separate points in time and I've refused. Is there a trend here? Is my carelessness that attractive?

When walking down a street, humans seldom look up.

Rooftops can be quite mesmerizing, some with plants upon them or interesting structural additions that makes the mind ponder upon their use.

Hmm interesting, I found the exact opposite, but then again I was in a noisy flying contraption.
There are many dead, hollowed out trees and one person had some that must have lived a long, fruitful life, as these enormous trunks were left with freshly planted saplings poking there curious noses out the top, trees growing within trees, in numbers. Quite a sight from above.

Fuckings annoying. I'm watching a movie where yet another woman gives birth without having sex. A wonder child of course, made by the heavens, sort of Jesus. What I don't get is why they never use a man in this role. It would be equally logical. And just as likely. He could conceive it on a tour to the toilet.

Yea, but he doesn't have a vagina.
What's a male supposed to do? Shit it out?

So it's more believable because she may have a vagina? They didn't show the vagina. So she could have had a penis. Then she also had to shit, spit or piss it out. Or maybe morph it through the finger. I don't know. They didn't show the birth.

I learned how to calculate the electric field originating from a uniformly charged disc at a certain location perpendicular to the disk and nearer to the center than to the disk's edges. I learned that everyone failed the last math test (including myself) and that a few of my group partners are slacking.

I learned that my professor jumped from a biology undergrad to a PhD in classics and I feel quite jealous about the option he had to do this. I've always been very frustrated knowing that whatever I chose for my undergrad is probably "it," without much leeway.

Edit: I learned that I posted this in the wrong thread... I guess it still fits.

I don't know much about electric fields from uniform charged disks but that sounds like bad luck, did you all got the formula wrong?
Your professor's got the twist! :v I would say that's pretty risky, personally I don't see the point in doing classics, but...Meh.

Well, I'm doing a math and a physics class, and it's the math "Benchmark" test created by a computer homework program called WebAssign that everyone bombed. It's pretty rare for people... not to bomb those. I've only heard of one person in one of two classes who got a 90-100% grade on one of those tests (with the average class having 40-50 people in it, and the teachers disclosing the highest grades and averages). It's not worth a large portion of the grade, but it's discouraging for everyone. I thought I was disappointed- the guy next to me looked like was going to have a heart attack and collapse on the spot.

We have the option of doing practice versions at home and even at home, with the assistance of Wolfram Alpha, etc... myself and the people I talked to who sunk 3+ hours into it walked away with 50-60%. I don't know why colleges do things like this, but I don't have too many complaints either. It really goads us to learn and as much as possible as fast as possible in order to avoid getting tripped up during the more interesting applications. We have hundreds of videos and calculators to use in order to supplement our learning, and there's only one right answer. I'm sloppy with my signage and all the restrictions and regulations that go into math. *shrug*

At my introductory level at least, physics is very different from math. There are a tiny number of formulas and constants to memorize, and the difficulty is in figuring out how to transform and interpret the principles in play in a wide variety of imaginary circumstances. We only had 4-5 major formulas for mechanics, and it was sometimes very, very hard to interpret the principles in order to get an accurate answers. The average for that class's final was 30-40% with no one doing much better than that.

Cuuuuuuurved.

In this semester's physics class, the hardest part is doing group projects and tolerating disorganization and vague expectations. And there are well over 100 of us.

Also, we're starting to get pushed a lot more into learning different coding languages to assist in doing and presenting physics problems. So I think we need to understand the math for physics, but the math itself is not the thing that will kill our grades. I think that being able to learn how to code is going to help everyone with their future physics classes.

Your professor's got the twist! :v I would say that's pretty risky, personally I don't see the point in doing classics, but...Meh.
*said the psychologist :P

He is certainly an interesting fellow, I'll give him that! He knows his stuff and sees interesting connections between the present and the past. I can see seeing the pointlessness of classics, but in so many ways, we still are the ancient Greeks and Romans. There's so much of them in us and in our laws and traditions and in random day-to-day things (like Worcestershire sauce). When I was having one of many crises about what new major to pick, classics was high on my list of choices. But yeah... I don't think having a depth of knowledge about Greco-Roman culture is as versatile a skill set as many other options available to us now.

Are you working as a psychologist or still a student? :cat:

You know you're an intuitive when in the same week, it takes a full five minutes to notice that someone is standing next to you on the sidewalk in a floor length cape and pleather thigh high boots, and it takes a long, wild, high-pitched ululation to notice that someone behind you is belly dancing.

Edit: and you know you're dark+matters when you have a secret belly dance party in the public restroom's mirror.

Trying to figure out how to begin my thesis. T_T

PS. I laughed a lot at your post. Group projects are the worst, I agree. And Worcestershire sauce is not the only thing that remains I was thinking in lighthouses too.

Ever realllllyyyy piss somebody off and not have a bloody clue how.
And then you can't even ask why, because some how or another that's deemed as salt in the wounds. Happens to me all the time, must be an INTP thing.

As a side note, I've also noticed that there's a fair few paranoiacs on this forum. I find the irony amusing considering the 'conspiracy minded' are 'supposed' to be societies most detrimental paranoiacs.

Oh how wrong they were :p

I think ISxP's are like that a lot. They suck at speaking so they're really panicky and precious about "just getting it" business. :D

They do try to speak, it's just that they are easily distracted by a strong urge to improve material conditions or find Lady Gaga deeper than she's given credit for or not read.

Join the club!

Maybe we should make a motivation thread or something where we threaten to punish forumers unless they complete a task they told us about. Except nobody would volunteer a task they had to complete and nobody would enforce the punishment.

It depends on when we were oxytocined, because if it was random it wouldn't be beneficial, it would basically just do the same thing Fe already does, provide random motivations, just stronger.

If they were timed when some honorable goal was in our mind or worthwhile task was being performed then there could be some progress.

Although I only speak American English, whenever I'm reading or writing something I nearly always "hear" the words in my head as if they were being uttered by someone with an English accent, sometimes a female voice and sometimes a male.

Funny, innit?

I think it has to do with the intense cravings for variety and novelty which characterize my cognition, and so anything departing from the same-old, same-old is experienced as rewarding/stimulating.

What exactly is an honorable goal which is supposedly a unique chance to get a shot? I think we need oxytocin regularly, to adapt more to social evironments and to acquire the ability to empathize more with family and friends. Fe does not necessarily provoke random motivations, it's more of a state of mind.

Bollocks! Now that's a right load of codswallop if I ever swalloped a cod, I do say.

"Stop watching British movies" --- bugger off! I never met such a blooming wanker! Why, by the queen's beard I should have your todger cleaved off, stuffed and cooked into a shepherd's pie, and then you wouldn't ever get up to a rumpy pumpy again for as long as you lived, as would serve you right.

I shan't stop watching British telly, I shan't!

How sychronistic, it was only an hour ago I was bitching to myself about how American movie makers have to make us alllll sound like cockney's.

People miss out on a lot in regards to real 'British' culture.

Offend all you like, I hate the British.

It just seems to me that in the international media all the English are portrayed as exaggerated Londoners.

London isn't a good representation of England by a long shot.

Does anyone have any good links on the correlation between INTp and INTP?

What if instead of going to the front, people stored fat on their backs? Then you'd just have this giant bean bag you could lay on whenever you wanted.

You'd probably have back problems but it's a tradeoff.

Sometimes I see things other INTPs do, and think of how fanatical they are, and think, I'm not THAT fanatical. But then I think "actually I can be that fanatical."

And then I do something fanatical and think "Yeah I'm guilty of being fanatical." This thing is its always justifiable.

INTp in socionics is an INTJ under MBTI.

INTj in socionics is the MBTI INTP.

A year or two ago I created a Facebook page centered around the UFO phenomena. However a few short months later, my perceptions started to diverge drastically from that which I had professed previously; and so I abandoned the Facebook page, which was hardly crawling with activity, and left it for dead.

However a few months ago, out of the blue, activity started spiking on the page, and so I resolved to monitor the situation. As of last month activity continued to accelerate increasingly, and so I resolved to delete the page and be gone with my misleading information.

Problem is, I pressed the delete button and it has failed to delete. I've repeated the process and that has failed still. The request has to pend for two weeks too...

Currently the Facebook activity has reached an all time peak of 30 likes a week, and the likers are exploring the information thoroughly. I sincerely hope they arent taking my previous conclusions thoroughly as truth, at least until I can figure out how to delete the damn thing.
