I just remembered that this is something I used to do at the other place.

All right, post your handwriting samples pronto! :D First come first serve. No guarantees. I disclaim all civil liability including negligence.

Any other amateur graphologists may feel free to analyse handwriting too. This could be a place for general discussion of graphology as well.

That reminds me of when I used to point out to my teachers the irony of writing notes on my work in handwriting almost identical to that, to tell me that my handwriting was poor. At least my letters actually looked like the letters they were meant to be

i know :D

me and my handwriting are like brothers, the way i see it - you need to get your thoughts down quick before you lose them, let your head do the work not let your neat handwriting disguise the fact you are completely absent of thought. and also, do i really give a fuck if people don't understand?! even when i speak (i have a dumb voice, check snapvine) people say they can't hear or that i am using long words! dammit, they won't listen and can't read!

MOTHERFUCKING ILLITERATES!

Seducer first.

Wow. I was amazed.

You're very creative, original, artistic, and have a taste for the finer things in life. But you can be pretty stubborn too.

You're very optimistic and future looking, but you tend to get less enthusiastic over time. You could have mood swings, but that doesn't seem to be a strong trait.

Overall a very energetic seeming script. No wonder you like the words odd and strong.

Ermine's coming up soon. I'm only short summaries though.

lol, i actually said strange :D

that description is perfect, where in the writing does it say stubborn...and creative, artistic or original? i am curious as to the techniques is all

optimistic? what would give you that impression...well, i am a quite Cynical person but "gets less enthusiastic" is right, i start out optimistic sometimes, even naive and then i begin to crush myself - i should stop this. i have some mood swings, only light though as you say

I've been told a bit about graphology before but I can't remember much about it, I know the forward slant means you look towards the future, and the shape of the loops on the 'g' and the 'y' refer to particular things. I think the shape of my 'y' is meant to mean I'm very imaginative sexually :o

Ermine

You're a lot more detached than Seducer. Probably quite impersonal. Logical to a fault. Not very sexual either.

You have ambitions. They're not very high and lofty, they're quite practical, but you're determined to achieve them.

You're also quite stubborn (seems like a common trait in INTPs, strangely enough, considering we're P) and impatient, with mild mood swings but generally optimistic too.

Basically the thing I saw most strongly in your writing was the determination to succeed.

And no, your handwriting doesn't look like that of a boy, it's that of a very logical girl (as far as I've seen boys' handwritings tend to be threadier, yours is more angular). But I've primarily seen NT handwritings, so perhaps I'm not that accurate. SF boys' handwriting tends to look like girls' (large round friendly letters, smooth garlands, concentrated in the middle zone).

The tails always have something to do with sexuality. The shape of the g also reflects an artistic, creative personality (for example, see Seducer's. Look at Barack Obama's too. Compare those with Ermine's).

Most Ns seem to have mixed slant/slant forwards. Mixed slant seems quite common among INTPs.

BTW do tell me if you're left handed, people.

Seducer of the Homeless said:

I was wondering why there was a knot at the end of the g! Didn't seem to fit in.

Doesn't really change much, though. Your script is still very energetic.

Here's the writing typed up in case you can't read it:
This thread makes me want to run away and yet I'm going to post my handwriting for the sake of curiosity. My handwriting seems to get progressively worse as I go through so forgive me if it becomes illegible. I developed this half-print/half-cursive style for more efficient handwriting, though I'm unsure as to its effects on the legibility.

Today marks the first day I have been able to use the phrase "crusty remains" in a correct context. It will remain the happiest day of my life, I'm sure.

Also, since Ermine stole my name I cannot sign off as usual, therefore I shall use a pseudonym.

Regards,
Ester Gray.

p.s. I'm aware that's not how you spell the name, I'm purposely associating it with the chemicals.

This is so embarrassing. I think I should have written something up on the computer first as I was unable to edit it. :storks:

EDIT: I just realised that it gets bigger as it goes on, I think this may be because I started getting a bit lazy.

Anthile (I don't know whether German writing is much different from English though)

Like Ermine, very logical, analytical, quite detached.

Were you kind of stressed out when you wrote that? It also seems that you might be quite easily affected by other people. Your confidence could be affected by what people tell you. Try to look on the bright side of things and don't take so many things to heart.

You're in need of some healthy knowledge of the opposite sex (carnal if possible) :D

Sorry, cogwulf (actually yours will be a really mind boggling one, I haven't quite seen anything so like it before), but I did Anthile first because I saw his "type me" thread. I think you are an INTP (not quite a typical one), Anthile. Strong I, strong T. (Don't take my word for it though)

And omg. Didyouknow is another me  (OK, not quite).

Well according to the website they say the smaller you write the more technologically adept you are, and it also says there is much uniformity in the handwriting of a genius. It showed Einstein's handwriting as a sort of proof.

My hypothesis is that in this day and age the smart people are so depressed and narcissistic that they could care less about legibility, and therefore only write as fast as possible to save time.

OK now cogwulf.

Several shared traits with the other INTPs (mild mood swings, detachment, logical). Pretty balanced, leaning towards pessimistic. I realise your writing slopes downward only near the end of lines, so you might start off normal and get a bit more down when things are coming to an end.

But what struck me most was the lower zone. Your sex life (or sexual fantasies) must be very, very interesting. There is something in your past which has affected you greatly and has especially influenced your views on sex.

I would imagine you're a bit of a hedonist. Care a bit about appearances (but it's not your primary concern).

You are probably quite compliant in real life, but you don't actually like being compliant. You start off being easygoing but get more steadfast later on. Your ambition is low compared with some of the others, but you're rather imaginative. I can only try to imagine what you're imagining. (ties with the sex life bit too, I think :D)

Overall, you're a very very strange sort of INTP.

P.S. Caveat to all: if you're acquainted with graphology, know what to look out for, and write in a way that's not natural to you, what you'll get back is what you show me. I'm an amateur after all and I can't really detect the undercurrents (whether it's fake or not).

It'd be nice if there were more graphologists here.

About small handwriting - intelligent people tend to have a small middle zone (also the hallmark of an N; after all that's the dimension correlated most strongly with intelligence). Supposedly.

this is interesting, i can certainly relate, but i believe it is just...

Smart people have more ideas/thoughts going through their heads at a faster rate, and they need to get as many of these down as quickly as possible before the idea goes or their minds move on, there isn't any time for neatness

That's actually very accurate.
I'm sort of a hedonist, I often worry about what other people think of my appearance, but doing anything about it always seems like too much effort

Nothing's happened in my past to influence my views on sex, I think I just had an odd imagination as a child and that merged with my fantasies as I went through adolescence.

I don't like having ambitions, that way when good things happen it's more of a surprise, and when not so good things happen it's less disappointing

Uhm...Myeah...This sample seems to be more or less readable compared to my other writings...

Well, it says: "Greetings INTPforum! As you can possibly see, this is a sample of my handwriting which is said to be read only by the Chosen One. Myeah, it feels like my hand refuses to coorperate with me, just like the rest of my body. Limbs have mind of their own, indeed."

Of course not. Referring to the assessment about my handwriting, I'm working towards more practical goals. However, that's only because I need to accomplish the practical goals to get to the grandiose ones. I'm definitely ambitious, or so I've heard.

For anyone who's interested in analysing their own handwriting, here's a good website for testing yourself that I've used before
http://www.handwritingwizard.com/

It isn't particularly accurate, and some of it's interpretations are different to others I've read, but it is useful nonetheless

^ that result is scarily accurate I think.

Anthile has difficulty making decisions. His mind changes constantly. He lives in an emotional tug of war. Anthile could be described like a thermometer. Today warm and friendly, yet tomorrow he may be distant and cold, not wanting to be close to anyone.

Some research indicates that people with a severe variety in the slant of their handwriting have an inability to tolerate sugar and are suffering the side-effects of too much sugar in their diet. If moods swings are a reoccurring issue, investigate the diet.

If Anthile encounters a situation he cannot handle he frequently pulls into himself. He feels his emotions are secure if he is withdrawn. When he has solved the problem he can be very outgoing and again need other people's companionship. Some see Anthile as very moody, but it it would be more accurate to say he has two complete personalities that he chooses depending on the circumstance. This type of person is often hard to understand because no one knows what personality he is exhibiting today. He may not be bothered by something one minute, then the next minute become upset at the same thing. It is very difficult to pin down Anthile's emotional expressiveness.

People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Anthile doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

Anthile will demand respect and will expect others to treat him with honor and dignity. Anthile believes in his ideas and will expect other people to also respect them. He has a lot of pride.

Anthile will be candid and direct when expressing his opinion. He will tell them what he thinks if they ask for it, whether they like it or not. So, if they don't really want his opinion, don't ask for it!

In reference to Anthile's mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Anthile slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project.

He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Anthile can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Anthile is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts. he finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned. Anthile basically feels good about himself. He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success. He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to. However, he sets his goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, his self-perception is better than average.

Anthile is sarcastic. This is a defense mechanism designed to protect his ego when he feels hurt. He pokes people harder than he gets poked. These sarcastic remarks can be very funny. They can also be harsh, bitter, and caustic at the same time.

Anthile is very self-sufficient. He is trying not to need anyone. He is capable of making it on his own. He probably wants and enjoys people, but he doesn't "need" them. He can be a loner.

Anthile has difficulty trusting anyone. In fact, he trusts no one completely. This is a result of his trust being betrayed in the past. He has closed up, thus ceasing to allow close friendships. Anthile truly wants close friends and desires physical relationships, but he fears he will get hurt, again. He is lonely, yet has a crying need for close friends. This trait can cause much unhappiness. However, it can be changed.

For a graphologist, the spacing on the page reflects the writer's attitude toward their own world and relationship to things in his or her own space. If the inputted data was correct Anthile has left lots of white space on the left side of the paper. Anthile fills up the rest of the page in a normal fashion. If this is true, then Anthile has a healthy relationship to the past and is ready to move on. The right side of the page represents the future and Anthile is ready and willing to get started living now and planning for the future. Anthile would like to leave the past behind and move on.

Mm. The t-bar. I wasn't that sure of this because I thought it might be due to the pen you used to write.

This test does identify quite a lot. Main things it doesn't identify are writing pressure, original letter forms, other variations on t-bar (bowed, arced, original forms of t-bar), the i-dot and the capital I.

Supposedly I have boyish handwriting...

Your handwriting looks almost eerily similar to mine. Mine might be slightly messier though (my letters often get squashed together).

My handwriting is usually a bit messier than this, but it reflects the general shape of my letters, my style and such.

That handwriting self assessment was fairly accurate, except that it didn't capture the slant of my handwriting, and my margins. Other than that...

Ermine is a very emotional person with a broad range of emotions from the highest highs to the lowest lows. She feels emotional situations very strongly. She'll flash to the very peaks of elation, sweeping everything before her. Then, for some reason unknown to herself, she will burn out emotionally. These mood swings can be very disturbing to her. Sometimes, she feels that she can no longer produce anything. But, after given some time alone to "recharge her emotional batteries", she will spring back into action.
Because Ermine feels situations intensely, she relates easily to others' problems. If she is not careful, when she comes into contact with someone who is in a depressed frame of mind, she will also suffer the same emotions and change moods. Ermine reacts impulsively, without much thought before hand. She may plan everything in detail before she even begins, then do it completely different when the time comes to carry it through.
Ermine has a strong need for affection. She thrives on touching and being touched. Ermine desires being told that she is loved, every day. She enjoys being the center of attention. She loves attention, sometimes she even retells stories that got her attention earlier.
Ermine has the possibility of being a actor or natural born salesperson, simply because she relates so well to other people. She likes expressing how she feels, what she is doing, and what she plans to do. She is a people person.
She will work most efficiently in a people orientated job as opposed to a job working alone on an assembly line (that would drive her insane.)

That's Fe alright, but I seldom experience this, and it's usually in a negative way. But I suppose it's still in there.
People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Ermine doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

Reasonable after I start talking and get over the self doubt.

Ermine will demand respect and will expect others to treat her with honor and dignity. Ermine believes in her ideas and will expect other people to also respect them. She has a lot of pride.

True, though it's neglecting how I also treat other people with respect.

Ermine will be candid and direct when expressing her opinion. She will tell them what she thinks if they ask for it, whether they like it or not. So, if they don't really want her opinion, don't ask for it!

hit the nail on the head, though I'm able to be creative and quick as well.

She has a positive self-esteem which contributes to her success. She feels she has the ability to achieve anything she sets her mind to. However, she sets her goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". She has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, she will not take great risks, as they relate to her goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, her self-perception is better than average.

Ermine is selective when picking friends. She does not trust everyone. She has a select group of people that are truly close to her, usually two or three. She is careful when choosing her inner circle of friends.

Ermine has difficulty trusting anyone. In fact, she trusts no one completely. This is a result of her trust being betrayed in the past. She has closed up, thus ceasing to allow close friendships. Ermine truly wants close friends and desires physical relationships, but she fears she will get hurt, again. She is lonely, yet has a crying need for close friends. This trait can cause much unhappiness. However, it can be changed.

Revealing...

Didyouknow

You're a perfectionist, but strangely enough you don't pay that much attention to detail. This would ordinarily lead to some internal conflict but you're able to handle it and remain relatively emotionally stable and calm.

You're trying to control some of your natural tendencies by suppressing them.

You can keep secrets and you're moderately social but unlikely to have many close friends (I'm guessing you have some, though).

You're both creative and logical (as, it seems, are most of the INTPs).

You are simple and not materialistic.

You do not care much for the past. You start off disciplined and end up procrastinating. According to some opinions this also means that you start off with a budget but end up finding it hard to follow and spending more.

You're not that ambitious too, and sometimes (probably rather frequently) you don't have a very good opinion of yourself.

You could be quite sarcastic (can't say for sure).

You are basically a better me.

Ermine stole your name? So your name is Sarah?

Some things may not be accurate since you wrote on lined paper.

It all seems fairly accurate. Though ambition... changes over time. Sometimes I dream big, sometimes I'm more realistic. I only truly have 2 close friends. As for the sarcasm that depends on what mood I'm in. :P

This is more accurate than I thought.... perhaps I shall look into graphology...

Please no cursive. I had to write 1000's of pages in cursive during elemetary. I have never written cursive since

Plus plain text is easier to 'read'.

where i have been put
handwriting wizard was relatively accurate. it was correct in saying i have a creative mind, i am a sensitive person but can also be sarcastic and harsh, my true self-image is low - i am extremly unconfident in myself. says i can be somewhat moody and have a temper - yes, i am a little unstable at times.

but one thing it got wrong, just because i am sensitive DOESN'T mean i am a 'middle of the road-er' i am definitely not. i have strong viewpoints and opinions and i hate the average, the middle of road stuff, i like extremes and i am extreme in my viewpoints, often to my detriment
" Psychology calls Seducer an ambivert. He understands the needs of both types. Although they get along, he will not tolerate anyone that is too "far out." He doesn't sway too far one way or the other." - i am opposite to this, i love the far out people and HATE 'normal' middle of road people

my pet hate is the average, normal, middle road, uninteresting
meh results, kinda right, deep down i am soft and sensitive :o

My cursive is pretty much in the same ballpark as everyone else, I believe the website I quoted was based on print not cursive.

Also my print size is medium size, not small because I have so many ideas in my head I want to write them down quickly. But I have seen the writings of doctors and "techheads" and lawyers, etc. the traditional 'smart' types and they do write small. I believe INTPs are smart just not in the traditional sense. Also I remember one day I felt feverish about technology, and I automatically began writing very neat and tiny.
