Hey all, I'm nemo. I got pestered to join this site by Melkor, or Lokpi as I call him on Impwriters. (He does have a lot of names & nicknames, doesn't he?)

So... I'm an ISFP, from the couple of tests that I've done. That sort of accounts for my 'artistic side'; I love music and art. Even though I suck at drawing, I still love it. :D As for music, I can play the piano and a bit of the flute. You could say that piano is my life - even though I'm not very good. >_> There's too much music that I like to list, but a couple of my favourite artists/bands/composers are Nickelback, ZARD, Evanescence, Rachmaninoff, Frank Sinatra, 邓丽君, BUCK-TICK, DBSK and Joe Hisaishi. My music tastes are really varied, so I don't blame you if you think I'm weird...

I'm also into languages. I'm trying to improve my Chinese and Cantonese, and I'm teaching myself Japanese. Other languages that I want to learn are Polish, Korean, and some random dialects. Dramas are also a love of mine, I'm a sap for fluff and that. :p

Some other things about me... I'm clumsy, a vegetarian, a procrastinator, a perfectionist, an animal lover, peace lover and a book-lover, among other things. I have extreme mood swings - I can be all happy and loud one minute, then down and silent the next. I also have no self-confidence at all, and am extremely shy if I'm not on a sugar high or something like that. I live in Melbourne, in Australia. It's the city of unpredictable weather...but I love it here. It's a great place, come visit sometime! ;) Anyways, just ask if you have any questions!

My folks are in Melbourne right now. Tell 'em I said Hi will ya?
(just walk around town and say 'IB says Hi' to anyone you don't recognise)

You may be our first ISFP, should be interesting....Welcome to the forum. No promises that we'll go easy on you but if you already know Melkor-Morgoth-Lokpi, you should be used to it.

FastFashion: Hmm...some classical pieces and some songs from movies & tv shows. Too many to list - I have a bad habit of trying to work on heaps of pieces at the same time. >_>

Inappropriate Behaviour: Will do, I already wave to every random I see on a tram or bus. Haha, I guess so...I'm used to the random stabbings, killings, insults and mood swings if that's what you mean.

Very nice, very nice. I can play a few classical songs, and some of my favorite pop/rock songs...and even a few songs from video games :D

That sounds cool...what are your favourite pop/rock songs? I'm going to try and find the sheet music for the Mario theme, it's been getting stuck in my head lately. :P

ISFP should be our enigma, the kind of people we can't understand at all.
Enigmas are what an INTP loves most.
Welcome, we are all loving you here.

I can barbecue that meat for you if you like. ;)

So, anyway... have we gathered all of Melkor's disciples together yet?

Thanks, Hermann Morr! =)

Actually, Lor, I can't... It's shameful, just about everyone else in my school can swim. My mum keeps bugging me about it, since Australia's technically an island. >_>

No offence taken, Ermine. That definition sort of suits me, actually...better than that little orange-white fish.

Thanks, Fukyo!

Love your avatar, FP...

So how's Melbourne today?

All cows are vegetarians (unless they are CanibalCows *see below*) and that puts you lower on the food chain.

Melbourne's good. But it's gonna be pretty windy and hot today, so the fires might be getting worse... :(

...IB, are you calling me a cow?

In Queensland (Australia) you swim, or you drown,
if you drown, you get resuscitated and thrown back in,
eventually the child learns to swim.

I do! And I'm not a cow. >_>

In primary school, I always 'forgot' my bathers whenever we had swimming class, so never really got past the floating stage.

How can somebody not swim? (I don't remember not being able to swim)

What is it like for you, being in the water?

I actually love being in the water, but the only things I can do are floating and backstroke. I don't even know how to tread water. *hides face in shame* I want to learn, but my pride's stopping me from joining some beginners class full of 3 year olds...

Hey, don't worry about it. Last year, I took a swimming class, and I was 17 at the time. They have classes for only adult beginners. Hope that you're not discouraged to learn...

Hiya Nemo, and welcome and all that.

(One question, do you want to be on ugly non-bishie Melkor's side, or nice, kind, responsible me's side?)

(btw, I'm a vegetarian too =D)

@-Nemo
How can you do backstroke and not tread water?
That makes no sense at all.

I can swim!

And treading water is a lot simpler than backstroke.

Hmm... If you can do backstroke, surely you could do breaststroke? Then treading water is just floating while doing breaststroke in an upward motion. Backstroke was hardest for me to learn how to do properly, apart from butterfly.

Well, I can do backstroke, but I certainly can't do breaststroke. So...don't assume.

Level of difficulty from easiest to hardest:

Backstroke
Freestyle
Butterfly
Breaststroke

I have to go swimming at school, but we're doing lifesaving stuff which is quite fun.

and yup, I'm a herbivore. It sort-of evens out the killing people morally.

I could never become a vegetarian. I've tried a couple of times, but...I just can't...I love fish too much!

I had some pet fish, so I hadn't eaten fish for years, then I was eating a chicken wrap, while reading a book.

The book involved a description of Chicken battery farms.

See...that couldn't even get me to be a vegetarian.

I even saw those videos of the awful treatment of the KFC chickens...but...still...I eat chicken. I mean, I felt awful watching those, but...

MMM CHICKEN

Honestly though, I've heard several times that the vegetarian lifestyle is a healthy one, but I just can't do it! How do you people do it?

Anyway I tried to post a link but I guess I'm not allowed. Google Tim Ferriss on swimming if you want to see how he learned to freestyle much faster. We could have a whole thread on his philosophy of personal improvement, as it seems targeted at NTPs.

I can float on my back, so I can do backstroke... I doubt I'm doing it properly, though. I've never tried breaststroke because I don't go to pools much.

Also, a vegetarian lifestyle isn't necessarily healthy. There's lots of oily and fatty vegetarian stuff, and I don't eat a lot a vegies. It's ironic, isn't it? A vegetarian not eating vegetables. >_>

I'm starting to think I might be an INFP. I'm getting confused... :(

Exactly. Floating on my back was the first thing I learned how to do when I first set foot in water. But breaststroke is way too complicated.

Well, I meant if you're eating what you're supposed to be eating...I heard that acquiring your protein through things such as nuts or beans is a lot healthier than eating meat.

Do you care more about your opinion, rather than the feelings of others if they do not agree with your opinion, in most cases? If yes, you're a T. If no, you're an F.

In that case, do you usually focus on the here and now, and have a methodical step by step train of thought, or do you see the big picture, and make connections between things that don't appear connected at first?

Try eating dinner while watching open heart surgery on TV.

The surgeon lowers his scalpel and slices through the patient’s flesh,
Cognisant lowers his knife and cuts through the meat on his plate,

It adds a whole new level of interactivity.

Edit: Make that a pork dinner
