I don't agree with the tea party. I'm not a socialist or communist, either. I just wish for race and gender equality. The idea that one human is inherently better just based upon gender or race is idiotic.

You got all Bold Printy Loud on us for a minute there. :cat:

It was kind of cute, the miscommunication violating your principles in your welcome thread so quickly.

Recently we learned that ESFP's will react very differently than you did. You noticed your error, facepalmed, and quieted down again. ESFP's however, just get more and more offended and then run away after calling people disturbed and refusing to explain themselves. In case you had any questions about ESFP's and what we know of them.

I like your methods better.

I couldn't claim I seriously doubt that your maturity is beyond normal for your age, but I do want to point out that I've never met someone who has claimed anything different about themselves concerning maturity. So how do you know you're more mature than your peers?

Also, welcome to the forum!

Oh, I forgot to ask how big your boobies are. It's very important information on this forum. We use it for stuff. Science stuff.

Edit; But only answer if you're 18+!

I didn't actually mean to do boldface type. I must have clicked it by accident. whoopsie. The people I come across, though usually intelligent, tend to act up and do silly, childish things, regardless of age. That's what I meant by maturity. Arrogance is actually my least favorite trait in all people. I didn't mean to seem arrogant. It's my first time on a forum, so I wasn't quite sure how what I said would be perceived. Thanks for all the welcomes, though. :)

Because rape is never funny, except if it's done by a clown.
Then it's terrifying.

Well this thread has taken an unwholesome turn.

I shall go get the scones for the "hell hath no fury" gag.
Maybe I can work "furry" into it somehow...

Silly, childish things are the source of all things fun.

If being mature necessitates casting these qualities aside, then I never want to be mature!

Well, I still do love Pokemon, Avatar the last airbender, video games, etc. I didn't mean those type of things. I meant people just being childish in class and acting like kindergarteners and ignoramuses. Silly, childish things are awesome. Doing silly, childish things to others and being a bother, however, isn't. I like your avatar. I once caught a shiny psyduck in a firered game. I did not use a gameshark or other cheating device. The unwholesome element in this thread gets this

... I think maturity has a lot more to do with accepting responsibility for yourself, taking what other people think and feel into consideration, and generally being a decent human.

It's hard to take the feelings of others into consideration if you can't comprehend them correctly. It's the bane of our personality type. Accepting responsibility for ourselves and being decent humans? We've got that down.

I couldn't agree with you more. As soon as I get to thinking I understand people, I learn this other new thing that just baffles me harder than the last thing. Then I understand that, so I get married, and woah. I apparently don't understand emotions at all!

Easier to chew on somebody's idea than somebody's feelings.

Ideas can be validated or rejected by reason and logic. Can't say the same for feelings now can we?

I'll expand that statement to feelings in general, and note that they all emotions are by definition alogical, as opposed to illogical; think of them as big colored balloons that inflate, deflate, and bounce around in response to your thoughts. There's no logic there, just physics.

Sadly, I never caught a shiny. Not even once. :slashnew:

Then part of me wonders if I ever unknowingly killed/ fled from a shiny when I was younger, and did not know they existed. That part of me then realizes I wasted enjoyed a lot time on Pokemon.

What is your favorite Pokemon? :)

lol at that one

Yes, of course, physics operates according to mathematics, a derivative of logic and set theory (which is arguably a discipline of logic) my point was to contrast the deterministic reaction of chemicals within the brain to the abstract ideal of "being logical," which theoretically exists in Plato's world of Forms-- a world that I have named "Platonia, Land of Logic".

I don't know about anyone else, but I find that so incredibly annoying. You have to understand, these adults are supposed to garner respect, but its impossible to give after they make themselves an idiot to me. Then again, every person has a different analysis process. I'm not surprised you feel that way though. ;)

I find it hard to respect those who are immature or ignorant as well. I'm actually almost an adult myself. I just find it more annoying when older adults, whom society demands I look up to, are being unsavory in this manner. We'll just have to feign reverence for them, won't we? =P

I loved Zapdos and Articuno when I was a kid. I can't quite remember why, though. Now, I have no favorite at all. I despise vanillite and lampent, though. POKEMON SHOULD NOT BE ICE CREAM AND LAMPS.

I don't see how it's immature, though. Not everything has to be thoughtful or inspiring. It's okay to relax and post a comment that isn't serious. Enjoying yourself, and lamenting or relating to others, does not make you immature. The first comment, though, does offer insight. It denotes how a portion of society works. Society dictates that older people must be respected by younger people, regardless of any extraneous circumstances. I simply highlighted my distaste for this. I don't have to say everything in an articulate manner to be mature. I'm sure that everything you ever post or say is a serious matter and is expressed using only the most sophisticated vocabulary. :smoker:

Moi? Maturity is sort of like relating to people at a level that shows respect for their differences, their feelings, their ideas while still articulating the like in such a way that true "discourse" can be achieved.

There is also the concept of physical maturity.

Simply announcing that "I'm young but I'm more advanced than people older than me" and then elaborating on this proclamation by pushing intolerance and prejudice is closer to immature than it is to mature on the maturity continuum.

Jumping on board with said proclamations only perpetuates and exacerbates.

I think arrogance is more highly correlated to immaturity. "Correlated" is a word thrown around too often but it's appropriate in this context.

I've been exposed to people I view as immature. I did not claim that I'm more advanced than they are, nor that I am somehow better. I'm actually trying to eliminate intolerance and prejudice by introducing the concept that "physical maturity", as you call it, does not dictate mental maturity. When someone older knows I'm a teenager, most automatically think that my opinions could not be mature as a physically older individual. I'm trying to eliminate that stereotype. For some reason, you seem to assume that I claim to be better than everyone else. That is not the case. I wanted my relative age to be known, and I only wished to not be judged by it. That's why I said that. By your definition, I have not perpetuated any form of immaturity. In fact, by sarcastically picking on my comments and sneering at my attempts to contribute to discussion and relate to others, you have not shown respect for my differences, feelings, or ideas. You just derisively cast them down, as if you solely know right. I did not anticipate that anyone would perceive that one little comment the way you did. I came to this forum to have intelligent discussion with like-minded individuals, not get in a ridiculous, pointless argument over one thing I said at the beginning of the thread. I know what I meant, and it wasn't supposed to be arrogant or malicious.
