I've come into contact with ... 3. Only 1 is a close friend, 1 I'm out of contact with, and the other... I dunno. Different attitudes... Probably the "happiest" INTP I've seen, whereas I come off as overly cynical and rather arrogant.

None in too many years to remember. A dozen or so INTJ HAWKS, a handful of INFJ SKYLARKS, nil INTP DRAGONS (and I have certain Dragon characteristics when ill), at least one possibly two low imagination ENTP SNAKES which is really quite near.

I am making a list of the first 20 people I think of and allocating them types.

I had a professor that was an intp, which was rad, and a really close friend/class mate of mine is intp. The three of us get along very well.

My Latin and Classical Studies teacher is INTP. He's awesome, and really typically old-Latin-teacher-y. Aside from that, I don't think I know any.

I think I know one, but he mostly just stays locked in his room while I'm at his house so I'm not really sure.

My mum is apparently INTP but I'm not really sure. She works in hospitality and is more social than I am. Apart from her I don't know anyone else, but they could be there masquerading as some other type.

I know of one other INTP that I used to work with.

Kids in the Hall - "These are the INT's I know, I know. These are the INT's I know. Some of them are P's. Others are J's." LOL

My father, my brother, two of my friends, and then there's this guy I know is an INTP, for some incredibly creepy reasons, but I don't really know him.

I don't know any other female INTP though.

About half the people in my major are NT's and of that group I have one friend who is an INTP, but I don't know about any of the others. I only know that they are NT's because we were required to take the Meyer's Briggs test at the beginning of the semester, and then the professor passed out a paper that said two of everybody's four letters.

I am assuming that there are several other INTP's, but I don't get along with most of them, so I don't know for sure. There are about 44 girls in my major and 1 guy.

One of my friends is a definite INTP. He took the test a couple of days ago and bragged once about his 100% introvertness compared to my 79%

My other friend is an ENFP and I don't know how well our personalities are supposed to get along but we've been hanging out for about 8 years now and its still really cool.

Kind of ironic how someone who is supposed to have not a single drop of extroversion in them is mouthing off about how introverted they are.

oh god....
From college: roommate, best buddy, housemate, friend's bf, another two roommates. And those are the ones that are confirmed. I went to an engineering school. The sociology professor has Proved that we have an abnormally high % of INTPs.

From high school: best friend, prom date, friend. There are a couple others that are suspicious, like they might be INTP, but I don't know enough.

From my neighborhood: A childhood friend who lives 3 houses down, is totally INTP.

My girlfriend is also INTP.

Family:
Dad, Uncle, cousin (? maybe INTJ), cousin's husband. Another cousin's husband. Maybe my Aunt. Maybe another cousin.

I just came back from a trip to Seattle, where I interviewed for a job and looked at a house with a room for rent. I think 3+ of the people in the research lab are INTPs, or at least INTJ. Two people at the house were totally INTP.

That brings it to: 15 confirmed. (I'm not counting the people I just met in Seattle.) Probably more.

I think I know so many INTPs because I've learned how to identify them. Even before I knew INTPs, I knew I liked smart people who like to muse about ideas.

I wouldn't count myself, because I don't know myself.

Wtf? Where do you live?

Shit, I've learned to identify them, but they are not exactly popping up like weeds.

Besides myself and you jerks, 1. He just happens to be in my same squad, by pure chance. He's socially awkward and makes me glad I happened to get so much practice with my shadow functions as I grew up. I turned that shadow into a man!

... Holy crap, I'm Stan Smith, except not as stupid.

I know a few, but I'm yet to meet other female INTP's (I'm the only one I know so far). I meet most of the INTP's I know through the church.
I still find it odd that you could find INTPs there. Then, I find it odd you can find anyone there.

I've never really stopped to think about it before, so this is a good opportunity:

3 males I'm relatively certain of - one's an engineer, one a composer and the last I have no idea.

Not sure about females - I *think* my cousin is some sort of NT, almost definitely a T type unless she's heavily suppressing with Ti (her mouth is unbelievably tight sometimes) but she also does that deadface that INTPs do.

There's a somewhat unusual pianist that I'm not sure of as well.

Dunno, really - I'm sure there are more acquaintances that are INTP but are impossible to identify because I don't know them well enough. There are definitely potential candidates.

So that brings the number up to 3, I guess.

I've met other people who are very similar to me but aren't INTPs though - various types. I'm not sure if I'm one myself, but it's the most likely option at this point.

At most, one. Me and him have meaningful chats. I'm not sure though. i have not immersed myself in the theory enough to type people with any accuracy.

Non.

The closest thing I have to an INTP friend is my best friend who is an ISFJ. He pisses me the fuck off sometimes. Don't know where people got the idea that ESFJ's are the best partners for INTP's seeing that the E instead of the I, just makes them worse, in my opinion.

I can only confirm one. I met him in computer programming in high school. He was the weirdest mother fucker ever and everyone avoided him. I didn't. I was STRANGELY fascinated by him. I, like other people on here, managed to develop my shadow functions, this dude never did. Anyway me and him sat side by side and made each other laugh in ways that probably made everyone else really uneasy.

We'd go on ogrishforum using proxies and find the most disturbing videos we could find and watch them right in the middle of class. This would range from cats being burned alive to horses fucking dudes in the ass (I am not cruel to animals IRL). We did this blatantly in the middle of the class and both failed. He did some of the weirdest shit. He'd take a sharpie and outline all the windows on his screen and turn the screen off and we'd laugh. I have no idea why it was funny. At one point he ripped the entire CD-ROM tray out of the drive and stuffed it back in. Him and another dude would play a game of gay chicken. This is a game of who can be gayer. He would never lose. That reminds me I used to go in there and find 100+ page documents on the internet and print them just to waste the school's paper/toner. I'd print over 100 pages a day. The printer would be going nonstop everyday and people would be laughing their asses off. The teacher never found out.

I showed him metal music and he loved it. Eventually we would go on long ass road trips (12+ hour drives) to see obscure death metal bands. It was great. While he drove my car I'd be killing beers non stop. I'd have him pull over on the side of interstate every 30 minutes so I could take a piss.

I introduced him to all my friends and for some reason he never fit. It was the damnedest thing because I thought he was the most interesting person ever.

The funniest thing about him failing programming in high school is he is insane in college. He's going for his PHD in mathematics/physics.

He sounds rather repulsive. I do not get why people have to destroy something which is not their property, him ripping out the drive. I do get the feeling of destruction though, it's nice. I like burning and destroying, myself. But destroying something which is not yours, I do not agree with. And the paper printer thing.

I don't mind when you destroy property at certain places. If it was small business I'd be bothered. Public school is fine with me.

He was pretty absent minded. I wouldn't say repulsive. He was absent minded to the point that I thought something was wrong with him mentally. Like assburgers or autism or schizoid effective or something. Some of his behaviors were odd.

Why is that okay?

You are basically saying "it's okay to kill that man because he is big and has alot of muscles and a developed status. But don't kill the guy that's just begun!" That's a bit biased if you ask me.

Besides myself, I know of one other INTP. He is one of the most strangest, "keeps to himself" person I've ever met in my life. I think we get on each other's nerves quite often but somehow understand each other quite well without communicating. I speak, he usually responds with a nod or "u-huh."

We have an odd friendship. :cat:

One of my close friends is interested in the theoretical and building systems, but also the execution. Very much the leader type and sharp, but not without quirks. I suppose he would be an ENTP.

There's another person on my mind who appears more impractical than me. I don't know him well, but whenever I see him he needs to be kidnapped because he won't stop programming... I'm certain he's INTP.

I'm not sure. At least two of my friends are. My older sister probably is INFJ. My older brother probably is ENTP. I'm not sure about my younger sister, ESFP perhaps.
