Warning: The shorter your time here at the forum, the more difficult this activity will be for you.

A pretty simple, fun, and overall brilliant game.

The first poster, in this case me, obviously, makes a semi-cryptic and purposefully mysterious hint linked to a forum member.

The clue can be quite varied, either linked to their username, mentioning their flairs/dislikes/hobbies, or a particular incident involving them.( p'ness, pangolins, adoptions and de-FACE-ing all come to mind)
The posters that come after, must do their best to link this jigsaw piece to an established member, and if they succeed, they in turn make their own.

Just a few ground rules,

-No obvious hints, for example, no "It's the poster above me", or "He has the most INNAPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR ever".

-No nobodies. As in, I don't want a clue of someone’s personal life who joined yesterday and is yet to contribute to the forum, because no-one knows who the hell they are.

-Finally, you MAY NOT make a puzzle of your own until you PERSONALLY, have solved the one that precedes it. In the case of near identical posting times, then all of the above unsolved puzzles must be completed, and the person who solves the last one (or the lot at once as may be the case) will be FORCED to create their own clues.

I imagine you'll ignore the above, but I have a feeling this will collapse without structure.

Just to start us off, one which is very easy if you had been paying attention for the last year, and near impossible if you haven't.

This member is of a wolfish wrath. While I cannot tell you from where they hail, it is a place that floats.

Short n' sweet!

Yes! You solved it Anthile, now you post your own clue to some mysterious member!

Wait....

Was "what now?" your cryptic clue?

I'm gonna go ahead and steal Anthile's turn. Although that clue did get me thinking about changing my name to "QuestionthePresent".

Here we go:

Bigman, fairies, elves. A jedi in disguise with powers greater than the force. Defender of the weak, accent of the strong. Who am I?

Of many, s/he is always first, and the key to any successful publication.

loveofreason

There is an argument that IB could fit there too though...

Ancient and young, the first to the milestone of spam. Found a bluebird and moved on.

NOTE: Because some of our responses will be guesses, maybe we should play this game in parallel rather than serial. If you think you're right, make a riddle.

Heh!

I bet you're wrong there Decaf!

It has to be EditorOne.

Damnit... you're right. I was thinking too obscurely :(

Still... love of reason and inappropriate behavior can both help make a successful publication :p

Ummmm....

Yours is really bugging me, Decaf, so I just have to voice a remote possibilty....

JoeJoe???

I mean... 'time police' could kind of cover ancient and young.... He was the first poster stabbed a thousand times... and he is a blue duck.

And he's gone.

Nope, but not a bad line of reasoning. This is more forum lore than symbolism.

Hint: Bluebird = "J"ay

Clarification: by moved on, I don't mean left for good... just became a lurker

Spam makes me think Noddy (as well as 'moving on').

I might also guess Jesin? Being that he was young, yet very smart for his age, and seems to have "moved on" in the way you described.

He/she doesn't notice us at all, yet once fixed us with a magical eye.

I'm going to guess Auburn, although I'm not sure why - more just a vibe I picked up from it.

As for mine:

A head that changes with the times, yet they keep their feet on the ground.

It is neither Dissident (though I remember his flaming eye well) nor Auburn!

Dissident matches the clue perfectly, I admit. But it wasn't who I was thinking of. :D I'm thinking of someone that still posts, not an awful lot, but they do. :p

(Yeah, Dissident was great.)

Just to summarise, we have two unsolved identities!

As an additional rule, we should limit the unsolved clues to 3 or so.

Additionally, it would be hilarious if the two clues mean the person.

The not noticing us part makes me think of Perseus (that guy seemed like he could have just talked to himself about all the crazy shit he used to say).

But, I can't help but think that the clue has to do with someones name and not so much their behavior, but I'm stumped as to who - it's made me realize that there are a lot of people on the forum that I don't really interact with.

Snowqueen?
Nope.

Another clue, perhaps: they have no qualms with cannibalism.

(I hope that doesn't make it too easy).

Not Perseus, but a plausible candidate. ;)

Yes indeed, it is a direct reference to their name. :D

That should give it away.
