I dream most nights.

I remember reading somewhere that we all dream every night, we just don't remember some/most of our dreams.

Anyway

Your emotional quotient is 15 (out of 80). Baron-Cohen (2003) suggests that this means "you have a lower than average ability for understanding how other people feel and responding appropriately".

I don't really see how some of the questions fit into empathy, such as 'Do you like to make lists', etc.

Good question. Could it be a filler to distract? Did you answer yes? I did. Could it be the listless are more forgetful and the listers care not to offend by leaving something out?

The repetitive nature of the questions was rather annoying, to be honest. Interesting to see where I go on their graph according to their test though.

I took the empathizing quotient and got the highest possible score. Can any one beat me? ;)

So how did you predict a comment like that might come across to a group of strangers? ;)

Anyhoo:
Your emotional quotient is 64 (out of 80). Baron-Cohen (2003) suggests that this means "you have a very high ability for understanding how other people feel and responding appropriately. You know how to treat people with care and sensitivity".

... hmmmm, now I'm curious about how these scores might reflect on positions taken with some recent on-site bannings, considering the spread seems to be at the extremes and a lot in the low end so far.... Would there be a correlation?

yes, I wasn't sure if those questions actually served a purpose or were just filler/distraction question.

Still, people are who fastidious socially might have some correlation to the fastidious organizers as well. (I keep thinking about the SFJs.)

I also dislike the fact that there is no middle answer. a lot of those questions I could honestly have gone for a 'neutral' on. Some, because, like with the question about making lists, they seemed to have little if anything to do with the topic. Others, because they were just poorly stated.

I got an overwhelmingly large score of 13.

28. Mostly because I know how to behave in social situations, but it's not really natural for me.

I also thought my score was low, until seeing the other posted scores, that is.

Your emotional quotient is 39 (out of 80). Baron-Cohen (2003) suggests that this means "you have an average ability for understanding how other people feel and responding appropriately. You know how to treat people with care and sensitivity".

Well, at least I'm not an emotional retard.. according to this test. If the test is correct, this forum should be full of dicks, haha :P

Yeah, I figured my Fe was underdeveloped. Come on INTP's it is our fourth function...one of our primaries. Let's get cracking. We we master it, we at least stand a chance in social situations (and gain the ability to manipulate others...which would be fun regardless of intentions).

I wouldn't say dicks, I would just say that we try to avoid such situations. We do our best, but when I doubt, I either avoid the situation entirely (girl I knew was crying...I gave her her space and said nothing), or try my best to do what I know from what I have seen to be acceptable responses (or silence and just listening). Generally, the mass emotion was not caused by me.

Same.

Agree with Tepellian, also. Wish I could have gotten some neutrals in there.
