Yes, but... what if we made... some... ultra cool club... or something... and everyone was jealous.... and wanted to be INTP.... and thought we were awesome and wanted in....
....-_-;;
*sigh*

But seriously. I dunno, I think I see reasonable interest in various other types. Certainly the other NT's, especially INTJ's. But I have, for instance, a friend who I suspect is ISFX. He has seemed jealous of me for many years for various reasons; I suspect, now, that it is because his father is an INTP, and I am an INTP peer of his. His dad has never given him as much attention as he wanted, and he doesn't really understand his father as much as he'd like.
Meanwhile, this friend has always tried to project a persona that reminds me of an INTP, but with some holes that are very obvious to me. He has lots of distress, and is unstable at times. Currently he's just living paycheck to paycheck, trading one grand plan in the distance for another- which he has been doing since high school. He has shown extremely emotional, irrational, impulsive action at times, and then strongly regretted it later. He claims to be a confidant to many people (with pride), and has talked to others about his frustration that I don't confide in him.
Anyways.
That might be a very limited example. He took one of the online versions of the test, and he got INTP. Perhaps I err, but I am fairly certain he answered according to his desires, and the lies he has fed himself. This would be at least one example of an INTP being envied?
While we are typically painted as geeks, if you take all that aside and give us healthy social understanding, we're very intelligent, clever, wise beings. With just a bit of warmth, we're the grandfather everyone wishes they had when we reach old age.
