Scotland just passed a bill enforcing free sanitary products for all women. I would suggest an extension to this bill, which says that if a man hasn’t paid all his taxes and thus evaded contribution to said free products, then he should put into a pillory, with a lineup of 5 women spitting in...
I'm keeping it old school with caffeine and nicotine, but I'm sure kids nowadays have wilder shit up their sleeve. Pharmaceuticals for ADHD patients and whatnot
I would posit that figuring out women is no more difficult than figuring out men. What is difficult is figuring out the correct way to proceed in the sphere of the romantic and the relation sexuelle.
we exist in chasm of history right now – women mostly act according to their natural instincts...
It helps to not having ever taken others opinion of you seriously to begin with. Tbh I find it a bit amusing when people want to create frictions like that, as in they appear to me like they are mentally unstable or something.
I've always thought of DNA as pretty big and complex structure, almost like a little organism, like a bacterium. But it is not – in fact it's essentially just atoms lined up on a string. That is extremely small. And a virus is even crazier because one thinks of it as some sort of organism...
I don't like old people. I just don't speak their language, man.
but it's probably just due to the fact that most people are boring as hell and that becomes even more pronounced as they get older.
edit: tbh I don't know wtf I'm saying, I just wanted to say something negative
but why do you need some one particular person in order not to hide anything about yourself, why not just not hide anything about yourself. Have you considered the possibility that it is because you are hiding things about yourself that you haven't found anyone with whom you don't need to hide...
if one does this analysis with a null hypothesis of, say, "CO2 doesn't explain the variation in temperature the last 200 years", then contrary to what you're saying here, if one doesn't reject the null hypothesis then one would be perfectly correct in rejecting the claim that CO2 causes global...
Different women react to things differently. As the great Bruce lee famously said, “It you put cum into a cup, it becomes the cup. If you put cum into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Be cum, my friend”
I say this – give all people of the world access to the Internet, so that they can boost their IQs by exposing themselves to the wealth of knowledge that exists on places like facebook, instagram and twitter.
the world is an abstract place nowadays, you have to think differently than cavemen thought in order to succeed. So to the extent that your eye cue reflects your ability to think abstractly, it should explain your success to some extent.
if I recall correctly though, iq had good explanatory...
I recommend medication and electroshock therapy.
I'm joking.
I can see 2 flaws in thinking here: 1) being dependent on outcome - i.e. you have specific outcomes in mind (like finding someone you can be 100% honest and genuine around), 2) you expect this to happen based on you being "your true...
yeah every time I hear someone saying stuff like "einstein had an IQ of 300" or whatever, I'm thinking imagine someone asking einstein to take an IQ test. He would be like: wtf is the point of that, I might find out 1) I have an IQ of 65, I'm still going to make the theory of relativity, 2) I...
not sure why you are so interested in the exact state of my brain but I would say I went from having mixed (or largely unsolidified rather) views on the scientific evidence to having the opinion that the scientific evidence corroborates the presence of anthropogenic forcings
btw that doesn't...
I see now there exist much more sophisticated methods for analyzing this stuff. In particular computer simulations that simulate the whole climate system with its various forcings (obviously including heat-trapping gases like CO2). That sort of stuff I can get behind...
I was wrong about one thing, actually. They didn't look at correlations between temp and the others one at a time, they applied multivariate regression. Which makes it slightly more reasonable, but still a very hackey way to do the analysis
true
this 200-year window thing shows the problem...
btw when I was talking about the garbageness of the MBH-papers, it can be pretty easily illustrated by figure 7 in the 98 paper: there you have the 4 timeseries in question: northern-hemisphere temperature, solar flares, CO2, and volcanic dust.
what they did was applying a 200-year window...
why does one need to determine the exact model for temperature change in order to argue against a specific variable determining the temperature? That doesn't make logical sense.
lmao I didn't see the trajectory of thread until now. I think the Dr. Dre lyrics were the turning point.
what happened with "you are my people" and all that stuff, man
now we have a 140-160 IQ individual who defected to the INTJ-forum and who will hold a grudge against us in the upcoming...
I recall in English class in school I used the same sort of structure in a sentence i.e. along the lines of "never be rude or ignorant", and the teacher claimed this was wrong because I was supposedly supposed to write "never be rude nor ignorant". To this day that bothers me because logically...
@Rebis yes it's the ones from 98 and 99, linked below

I recall I went from never having stepped into a gym in my early 20s to working out on average about 5-6 times a week for many years now (admittedly down to about 3 the last year due to too much work). I started out by saying: I'm gonna go the gym once a week and do just 3 exercises. I made...
can you retrieve the html content by running for example: curl https://www.facebook.com/
if you get the html but it doesn't load in a browser, I would bet it's a browser issue
to me these theories make no sense because the etc/hosts file is just a mapping on your computer between addresses and...
Problem with climate change is that it’s one thing to measure changes in temperature (which itself is an extremely intricate process and historical data needs to be inferred indirectly using tree rings and whatnot) , and another to assert cause and effect in the weather system. Eg the notorious...
@peoplesuck a possibly slightly healthier version of bread - with the added bonus of being a classic norwegian food - is knekkebrød (that's the only bread-type thing I eat). Don't know if that exists in US though
@Grayman i don’t think I made any claims as to whether global warming causes those trends on a local level. That remains a hypothesis because I can easily find graphs like that for other place in eg Southeast Asia where there is no upward trend.
Foods with high glycemic index cause large spikes in blood sugar and subsequently spikes in energy levels. These are obviously foods high in sugar - in particular simple sugars like fructose etc. But also complex sugars like starch (rice, potatoes, etc) although they have a flatter energy...
Man, I just love people who have dog-shit taste in music and play it on loudspeakers, forcing everyone around to listen to it. These people should be sent to a separate island along with rapists and child molesters
@Elen
I’m afraid this is not a one-time experience. I have seen the insides of innumerable male locker rooms, and they all usually smell like feces.
Yes I was inside a female locker room once, it was like stepping into an alternate reality
Why do the showers in men’s locker rooms always smell like feces?
It’s as if a lot of men suffer from chronic-ass-leakage syndrome
Or maybe men in general smell like shit, maybe females here have comments on this
my method for achieving self-discipline stuff is extremely simple yet extremely effective, and it involves circumventing the whole issue of self-discipline. However, nobody likes it because everyone wants some sort of elegant, aesthetic, self-deterministic (and hence non-practical) solution to...
increased blood flow to the peenoose means less blood in the brain, which makes the heart beat faster to compensate, which subsequently is interpreted by the brain as a fight-or-flight response
