Taking an archaeological lens to it would be helpful. Study anatomy and physiology of females and understand how they have different chemical and structural proclivities. This honestly is what has determined women's position in society, even then it will make you ask why they aren't excelling in some aspects, such as them being able to multitask better on average. Whatever the case, they are human beings and the societal gender norms are slowly being dismantled in the West, but the main difference will remain the same, physiology. Understand how they compensate for this. For example physical vulnerability would lead them to be more socially adept.

There is a lot of game theory that can be applied here, and that is honestly the way you should see it, as every one is playing it even if they don't realize it or aren't being rational. Maybe starting with what exactly you want to "figure out" about women would allow more helpful discussion.

Not gonna happen, I'm not credulous enough to even dare writing like I know what I'm talking about. I just gave an axiom that could be the basis for rationally thinking about it, answering your question about how to remove culture from the equation. My only advice is that you should try focusing on just 1 thing at a time, and once you've mastered that move on to another thing. The biggest challenge is learning what to ignore.

Have you ever figured out someone that wasn't yourself? Or, have you ever figured out someone you're attracted to? Affection is predominantly based on being physically attracted to the person. Perhaps the reason you don't understand is because the relationship with someone you're attracted to is one of the few activities that isn't predicated on knowledge. The physical world consists of space which is easy to understand from a logicistic-causal relationship. People are inconsistent agents within this physical world and they're not bound by logic. This applies to men and women. I'm sure women say they don't understand man so the obvious derivative is intimacy in experience, knowledge (Figuring out) is a pre-supposition that events will occur in some kind of order.

There is no logical derivative when you experience a situations that's filled with emotions. They're different frames of mind.

I would posit that figuring out women is no more difficult than figuring out men. What is difficult is figuring out the correct way to proceed in the sphere of the romantic and the relation sexuelle.

I don't think this is the way to make his "ego" less fragile or less of an asshole. There are way too many posts talking about genders, particularly women on this forum. I think it's pretty weird how it's a main topic of discussion. I think yours was justified, you went through a revelation but other people talking about genders in such a one-dimensional way remind me of preachers that use bible verses to guide their entire real-life interactions.

Y'know what I'm just gonna say it: I think it's fucked up the way we try and simplify and understand genders on this forum. I don't think anyone reaches a new understanding they just affirm their biases which often times are so detatched from reality that any rational person would genuinely have problems understanding how they think.

The chances are that if you were infact interested in someone of the opposite gender you'd be attracted more to their mind than you would their physical appearance. Obviously physical appeareance plays a role but I think it's small: I mean I don't think it's particularly hard to be attractive or pick up habits that improve your physical appearance. Improve your confidence: Exercise, increase testosterone, stop watching porn so you can produce more testosterone and have a crazier "desire" for people that isn't sexually frustrating (After a while, it becomes a very pleasing sensation). Moisturise, use skin-care products, brush your teeth, so on so forth. If you're genuinely attracted to someone for the mind, the likelihood that they don't fit into a generalized format is pretty high. I've never went for simple, traditional girls because after a week I'd probably know their whole life story. I go for people that are pretty wild, and to some degree you all do too: why else would you leave your personal sanctuary if it wasn't for someone that had a unique quality? I don't imagine we'd go for random hook-ups every 3 days because we have nothing to do other than think about sex.


Generalizations will not help you have a gf, you need to actively understand who they are and what their beliefs are. So creating generalizations to approach people of the opposite sex to which you're attracted to, with your attraction being specific to the person's ability to stand-out from the crowd is a sure-fire way to failure.

I make some cultural generalizations about females, but I don't apply that to romantic relationships. The people I'm interested in need to be pretty open and that includes not genderizing everything.

Right. Yeah, this is something I imagine anybody with a suitably large enough vocabulary runs into.

Although, unless the other person is a total asshole, I take learning how to converse with someone on their own level as an interesting challenge. I have always been an outlier like most here on INTPf. I have found it helpful to learn how to maintain conversations about the banal out of self preservation and boredom. Questions about how to survive THAT I understand.

My mother was high functioning Autistic before they really had a term for that, grew up in a deeply religious and harsh family, and had learning disabilities like dyslexia. She finally ran away from home to get away from that garbage. She is also one of the most calmly functional, rational, and grounded people I know.

We get along well enough. Everything she has done has been out of love for me but she struggles to actually express her love in any sort of verbal or physical way. She doesn't say "I love you". She doesn't hug unless forced to.

I learned how to express love and tenderness from my dad. And he is a big bear of a man who can fix anything mechanical, taught himself programing in the 90s, pushes people's buttons for fun (ENTP) and will fite u to the death if you get in his way. ‍♀

I think once you understand yourself emotionally (seems you dont) then women make more sense, also just read psychology articles on relationship problems, make sure you dont have those characteristics etc. be proactive

In my dealings with women, they’re actually not much different than men.

If you want some super generalized insights, they’d be almost useless for how generalized they are. Different people are different. You’ll have a lot more success in your interactions if you get to know them.

Like most things in life, you’ll only get better by doing. If you’re having trouble understanding women, interact with them more. If you consistently drive them away by appearing to be an egoist... then, uh, don’t do that?

If you want my candid assessment, you do seem to be a bit to self-focussed. Typical introvert problem, not a huge issue. Try not starting sentences with “I” constantly, in your mind, in your speech, and in your text. When talking to others seek clarity in their thoughts by starting sentences with “you” or “your”.

First of all you are just overthinking. Most of female and male behavior is hardwired.
So you really cannot do anything about it. When you like a female it is hardwired for you. When she likes or does not like it is hardwired.
This overthinking people do is consequence of low confidence. Low confidence is result of lack of experience. Its a lame attempt at control. Notice how the most worst relationships are generated from attempts to control.
Instead of trying to control for outcome just play like a gambler.
Toss in your coins and wait until you get what you need.
Finding partner is the easy part, but actually making it work is hard. Most people are not that great of a fit. Especially if you are not average Joe you will have to be a little more specific in what female is good fit.
Its not best advice, but just imagine the type of female you want. Like imagine a type of person you would be willing to spend time with.

You are not looking for a clone. The female has a goal, perhaps different from you. But you should have some common goals as well. Some common ideals and maybe similar frame of reference. Not necessarily identical, but similar enough that you can cooperate.
