A 20 year old truck I got from my Dad (for a five minute drive to work and projects), and a 10 year old mommy van we bought used. I'm guessing it has something to do with the tech discussion? The reason for the old cars is we don't drive much, and mainly I'm waiting until something really new is available such as self-driving. I like the Hybrid approach, but it hasn't advanced much. The Prius got so popular that they haven't done a lot of follow on development. If a hybrid self driving car was available - even at 40k-50k, I'd buy it in a second.
