Wrong. "X crusader" is supposed to mean "crusader for X", not "crusader against X". And JPEG does have legitimate uses, they just don't include any of these.

I think oziriz is on to something, without all the other colorful stuff. I say stick to simplicity of graphics, and keep our complexity inwards. A simple background, reveals that we care more about ideas than about actual results. (which is true...although not always something to be proud of...)

Thanks for the comments on it, personally I can't decide which one I like more, but I feel I need to change the right side of the colorful one to something else, also I think the things on the left side may be too high in contrast... Any suggestions, people?

The heart-brain thing is a little too obvious, something more subtle would be nice. I like the puzzle idea tho.

The first thing that came to my mind as i found this thread was the vulcan IDIC (Startrek). "Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations". But well, that wouldn't be all too original, now wouldn't it?

I like the ones above, but i don't think them to be 'representative of INTPs...
I mean, there are so much possible references we could make, in fact i think there are too much, so we should use rather none. But well, that's just me.
But please, go ahead with creating banners or logos.

A filing cabinet? No. There would be a box on the desk labeled "ideas". The box would be mostly buried under papers that had been tossed there at random. Or something like that. But not a filing cabinet.

I didn't say there was an organized filing method in the cabinet... Hell I have two filing cabinets at home. I keep computer parts in one and whatnot in the other (postcards I don't think I'll ever send, pictures that I plan on putting in an album... some day, etc.). But a box does sounds appropriate.

Its hard to say.. i can never think of anything that would represent myself..let alone a group of people... This is also why i made a plume of smoke my avatar... couldnt think of anything that was less confined or "free" that you can see.

Yes. I wanted something intellectual and open to interpretation with just a splash of pop art sensibility.


Seriously, maybe there should be a voting thread to select the banner or even a series of threads to narrow it down into one everyone likes. I think they have all been pretty good.

Also, I wonder if we could somehow translate the mbti dichotomy table layout for INTP as a kind of symbol. Just a thought.

It's an old picture though.

From back in the days when my ass could play a mean trumpet. People would come from all over to............cover me............and.........you know.............tell me to stop playing trumpets with my ass on public property.

Here is an idea for the banner that doesn't involve ass trumpets. LoR suggested something with an Escher design so I went with that. If there is any interest I can make adjustments to it pretty easily.

(this is the third incarnation of it since I first posted it. I keep seeing flaws)

As I said, NoID10ts, its too vain. Better a commission from Lor than a self portrait. Decision made. And the ass trumpeteer is too puerile = male and childish.I've got two brothers; this is exactly the type of thing they'd like. I'm feeling distinctly isolated here being a lone female voice - where's Lor and Jennywocky??

You know, actually if there will be a banner, i will simply ignore it, so it really doesn't matter much (as long as it is no as big as one page, so you would have to scroll down a lot before seeing the forum...)
