Blah.

(Societal) success over happiness?

How do you know the path to success doesn't lead to happiness?

And how do you know your supposed path to happiness will lead to either of the two?

Can money bring misery rather than happiness? Your thoughts on wealth?

Happiness is always around you in many different forms.

Your pursuit of academics should be something that interests you strongly. Something you may already have hobbies in or read up on often.

Watch some lectures online, read books. Test yourself :) it will feel like the real thing.

Do something you find both interesting and will lead to employment whereby you can pay off your tuition fees.

Watch some lectures online, read books. Test yourself :) it will feel like the real thing.

This is also good advice.

Money does not equal happiness. Having lots of money can make unhappiness a lot easier to bear.

Happiness may be harder to come by because it's so damn subjective. There may not be anything that actually makes you happy, or at least obtainable.

Until we invent the mind meld, none of us can advise what will make you happy. As for making money, become really good in a lucrative field and get to work.

I can't answer these questions for you. It depends on the type of person you are.

Money isn't everything, but for some people it sure helps getting what they want. What you have to work out is what you want. Ideally, one would enjoy their job 100% and get paid very well for it too. In reality, this isn't the case for a lot of people and a compromise is made.

I wouldn't ever advise going for a career purely for money.

Do what you enjoy doing first and foremost. Put a couple of lines on the lotto each week.

If you win - fantastic.
If you don't win - who cares? You're having fun.
