I was told in the opening that I may post disagreements in lieu of actually doing anything constructive, and so I, with no little trepidation, feel confident enough in my uber-heterosexual orientation to brave any homoerotic storms that this thread throws at me. i like 'em tall and skinny. mixed races are nice (i've had his preference as early as kindergarten, can't say why) but i prefer anyone with interesting eyes. teeth, also, i prefer with character. perfect straight teeth are just eh.

personality-wise, anyone who is kind, not too aggressive and treats me respectfully. somebody with a generally positive disposition and who doesn't hold grudges. somebody i can talk to without having to try.

There's a ginger I work with who I've been observing rather closely and he's elicited a new sort of attraction that I've yet to observe in myself. He's certainly physically attractive, he has excellent jaw structure, lovely fingers, is slim and a little taller than average. He's intelligent, classy, somewhat reserved, both quietly confident, yet humble. He's calm, but not in the way rational T people typically are. It's a level beyond that. A sort of gentleness and tranquility emanates from him that I've never seen before. You can even hear it in his voice. It's all I can do not to question him about how he attained such a state.

He represents a new archetype for me, as I never would have described myself as attracted to gentleness before. Generally I'm much more attracted to people who sharpen my edges, rather than soften them, but this is a rather revealing exception. It's quite fascinating observing him. He is, however, in a presumably monogamous relationship, which is why I haven't approached him outside of friendship. Though we get along quite well.

If you could somehow reconcile that tranquility with the wonderful, mad brilliance of a figure like the tenth doctor, well that would be ideal. Or perhaps if you could have both.

Then again a really creepy story that lampshades the creepiness could... No, no, it's still too creepy.

Perhaps that's a double standard, and I know what I'm about to say next is going to make some people very angry with me but... *braces himself* in my experience women are generally in less control of their emotions than men, meaning men are generally in greater control of their involvement in relationships, which is what justifies the afore mentioned double standard as it is an abuse of that control, granted there may be exceptions.
