Mine is a scan from the Marchen Awakens Romance manga of Phantom making a crazy face. Whenever I see a particularly creepy face being made, I have a strong urge to use it as my avatar. Can't explain why. I guess I just like crazy faces.

I was on NaNoWriMo, and my username on that's SaffyAngelis too, so I was bored one day (Writer's block =() and I decided to draw my avatar (with paint, pixel by pixel) so, I drew the little angel, and then I added the curtains to frame it, then I decided that it looked sort-of like a stage, so I added he floor, and the sparkles (Coming out of the hands) and then I wrote 'SaffyAngelis' on it, just because I felt like it then.

Then my characters started co-operating, and I got my 1667 words done.

My username "shalom" is hebrew for peace - that which I long for in all things. The white rose I got off my computer, but I really like it. To me the rose symbolizes those qualities that I want in myself and enjoy in others.

Whenever someone asks me a question I don't want to answer, I say "toast".
Since then, I've realized that toast is the perfect answer for explaining the universe, the meaning of life, any math problem, and it's also the best reply to a smalltalk question like "how are you today?"
I thought I should honor it in my avatar. (And I have a thing for .gif animations.)
