are currently open in your browser?

Here is mine:
Alfred Korzybski
Democritus
Diogenes of Sinope
Discordianism
Miguel de Cervantes
Nikolai Gogol
Pythia
The Seven Who Were Hanged

(I may end up regretting posting this as I usually already have too many wikipedia articles open at any given time, most of which wont be read.)

ps. Let's try not to make this into a pissing contest where you post 20+ wiki articles about the most esoteric stuff you manage to cough up just to get yourself some extra geek points (unless you actually have 20+ tabs open with quantupshycometrocosmocrodiadacitic esque themes) Just post whatever is in your browser. It's no shame if it's an article about bananas.

It's interesting how you can mostly see what general subject people were interested in by their links, and how it spiraled out to other topics/pages. Wikipedia is just like a spiderweb of discovery. <3

I just happened to have a good collection going right now. The first time I came by this thread there weren't any open, so no reason to post.

This is an honest question: Why have so many open at once? Are you flipping between articles, or is this just how you remember to look at them?

Both. The massive list above was the result of about three days of research into the various topics, and while I'd gone through a lot more than just the ones listed, once I think I'm done with one I usually close it. If it's still open it's because I'm reading it, or I moved on to something else without finishing it and still need to come back to it (admittedly, that doesn't always happen).

Actually I think it mostly results from reading one page, seeing various links on it that you also need to learn about, opening those links, move to second page, same thing happens, and before long you can't even remember what the first article was anymore.

I don't have any wiki tabs open at the moment, except the four that I opened from this thread prior to writing this.

I used to have the same stance as you...then I got a pretty high-end system (was high-end at the time). If your computer can handle it, you just learn to utilize it.
