Philosophy
You scored 27 mental chops, 14 work ethic, 18 bullshitability, and 2 practicality!

You're intelligent and creative, but fairly lazy. Philosophy would be perfect for a bullshitter like you. You find it easy to pull things out of your ass when others freeze up and stammer. It gives you satisfaction to cite long-dead men, whose names most people recognize but couldn't tell you one way or another what the hell those philosophers believed. Don't get too cocky because nobody is going to care about your thoughts on a post-Kantian analysis of human rational capabilities when you're flipping their burgers.

Psychology is perfect for you! You don't mind pulling things out of your ass, but you don't want to think and you don't want to work too hard. You also apparently don't want a job, unless you're Clarice Starling...who got all the way to the FBI. Sure, so all those intro lectures and projects where you make your roommate look at a list of color names (printed in different colors than what the names suggest! omg!) might be dull, but after that you get to do cooler stuff, like, uh...I'll get back to you on that. Your powerful skills of insight into other people suggest maybe you should write more quizzes for this site when you're not doing that time intensive, uh, whatever it is you psych kids do.

You scored 28 mental chops, 18 work ethic, 13 bullshitability, and 9 practicality!

So you're smart, but you're also lazy as hell and don't care too much about your post-college prospects (unless you're one of those rat race academic types or you're a dual major in something more practical). You'd make a good math major if you're really that bright--not many words, just you and the symbols, baby. That is, symbols that scare the pants off of most other people, but you've come to realize that they're a lot friendlier and easier to deal with than that pretentious pomo literary crap. Math majors are also entitled to make the corniest jokes and pickup lines, so have at it, O awkward one.

Physics

You scored 25 mental chops, 26 work ethic, 13 bullshitability, and 3 practicality!

You're very willing to work hard at things that terrify other people...such as physics! It's challenging and demanding, and probably won't do anything to help you find a job. Are all those long problem sets, lab write-ups, research projects, and cardiac arrest inducing tests really worth knowing how to find the probability an electron will tunnel past a barrier or what in the hell a boson is? Godspeed, good soldier.

Wound up with philosophy. Less accurate than a lot of the rest of you...I'm in mathematics and chemistry. No idea why my practicality score was so low (7) and my bullshit score was so high (19). I had 15 work ethic, though, so it looks like a slightly higher work ethic score and/or slightly lower bullshit score would've put me in mathematics.

Mine was highly accurate. I often cite quotes from dead philosophers in all kinds of discussions, where I'm explaining philosophical theories no one understands, not to mention explaining highly abstract theories and analytical takes which no one really cares for. =p Hence, my screen name.

I got philosophy, which is BS. I enjoy philosophy a lot, but the description is extremely inaccurate. I am a hard worker who doesnt pull stuff out of my ass and cite famous long dead people.
I find it funny though that it seems no matter what people on this forum got, it called everyone lazy.

Lol, psychology and philosophy seem staple for us INTP's.
And it 'is' interesting that we all usually get results that involve the word 'lazy.'

And AI, that sounds about right. You seem like a highly theoretical sort of person, like myself.

... This test is starting to look like crap.
It's just giving everyone philosophy now, based no a stereotype.
We're all smart and lack work ethic and aren't very practical.
Yet, that doesn't say much about our actual INTERESTS.

Fail test is fail.

Are you really taking a test with "bullshittability" as a criterion seriously?

I never took the test seriously to begin with. The test doesn't exactly scream "This is what major you would enjoy." Instead, its "This is what major you'd be good at," and hell: stereotypical or not, its half-true. Aren't INTPs known for being smart and lazy? Given intelligence, laziness, and "bullshittability," the given majors would probably come pretty easy to most. As for whether we'd enjoy them, thats a completely different question.

Computer Science

You're smart, but you want to study something useful without making things up or working too hard. Computer science is probably right up your alley. You can sleep all day and drink Mountain Dew in your room at night while you code, all alone. All alone...but only for now, since you've always told yourself that once you start your own software company that all the chicks will flock to you.

Pretty much my degree program, only tougher.

Unless I could make it as a psychologist by telling everyone who walks into my office to suck it up and stop whining at me they have got to be kidding.

(FYI, I'm an engineer, I enjoy it, and I'm freaking good at it... and I for the most part *hate* psychology. Ridiculous result.)

I'm going for either an astrophysics major or a double in international relations and Russian. Two very different fields, but I have a diversity of interests, as many of us INTPs do.

I'd probably do well as a philosophy major, but I don't think it's something that'd bring me much satisfaction or pleasure. Knowing what others think is great and all, but I prefer to form my own opinions, rather than simply read those of other.

'Course, I have no idea what a philosophy major fully entails, so maybe I would like. Still leaning for a "no" on that one, though.

Honestly, I would have laughed my ass off if I had gotten a math or chemistry major. >99th percentile scores in English and Reading on the ACT, hardcore average in math. Bit weird since I'm thinking of astrophysics, but I liked the physics classes I had in high school. It was more challenging for me than AP Government (which I bullshited my way through, still being one of two or three people in a forty person class to pass the stupid AP test) or AP English (same story), but I prefer the practical application and interesting theories to regular old math.

Wow. I expected to get some maths or something else that was roughly accurate. but here I got economics:

Economics
You scored 25 mental chops, 14 work ethic, 21 bullshitability, and 12 practicality!

You're smart, creative, and lazy...but you also wouldn't mind leaving college with some job prospects. Economics is a perfect fit for you. Take care not to start looking at everything from a market perspective, or else you won't land any dates.

The first two sentences are scarily accurate (even if they are very general, they still strike me as exactly what my general plan is.)

I have been debating whether to go economics or commerce/business or science or whatever mix of the three is possible. Essentially though I want to end up as an entrepeneur. Thats basically my life career goal. Best case scenario for me is to be able to start one up during my gap year and it goes well, because then i might not need to waste time on uni. Though thats a really silly dream, nobody can say that it hasn't been done before so i guess il give it a try.

Public Health
You scored 8 mental chops, 9 work ethic, 13 bullshitability, and 9 practicality!
You probably wouldn't be at college if your parents didn't insist, but whatever. You have to major in something. You chose the easiest, least demanding major you could find: public health. Hell, it's not even offered at most schools, so if you didn't go to one that had it, maybe you majored in something equally undemanding like nutritional sciences. You don't have to pull anything out of your ass, but it's not exactly rocket science. So what if it's not useful? D's make degrees! You probably lead a fun, socially fulfilling life anyway, so kudos to you, (wo)/man.

I tried to put myself back into the frame of mind that I had when I was finishing high school. And at that time, I was incredibly lazy. I'm a software engineer now, but I have a liberal arts degree (I'm not knocking that either). Things didn't "click" for me until I was about 20.

Psychology. Figures. I was one class away from minoring in Psych. Ended up minoring in Philosophy instead because of how my schedule worked out. Then again I was one class away from minoring in Anthropology as well.

They would not let me triple minor.

Business/Management

You scored 22 mental chops, 11 work ethic, 10 bullshitability, and 13 practicality!

You want a major that requires neither intelligence nor work, is no-nonsense, and might at least help you after college. Welcome to the Business and Management department! We hope you enjoy our intellectually stimulating courses such as intro to managerial accounting, human resources management, ethics in the business world, risk management, and marketing 101. Your parents will be proud of you, though, and we all know that's what really matters in this world.

i have to say this test is eerily accurate as to why I'm in university. Maybe its time for a change in my major from my worthless conflict resolution and criminal justice majors?
