on ym.com It got shut down because the magazing (YM) no longer exists.
It was a girl's forum but guys would post on there too.

It was so chill. you could post about the most random shit and still get responses, like
"I really like popping zits".
People responded to that stuff.

I'm just wondering if you guys are that awesome.

Cause every once in a while I get the urge to come at you with whatever thoughts are floating through my head,
however shallow they may be.

My first inclination is to judge, whenever I read or hear just about anything. NO THATS NOT RIGHT! THE FACTS ARE OTHERWISE! I spent all of today doing exactly that. I am researching to publish an online encyclopedia of bad arguments in a particular fringe theory of historical debate. It will take me years just to complete the whole damn thing, but I am up for it. I have already bought like six books to get the job done. It is wild.

After reading above that YM is dead, I decided to look up here what other magazines had folded without my approval. And that is when I found out that the official magazine of my childhood, Wizard Illustrated, is no more as of this past January. Thanks OP, gonna cry a little now.

Yeah, unfortunately a bunch of the more interesting members got bored with the place and decided to leave, complaining all the while, rather than helping to maintain a critical mass of interestingness that would maintain that kind of atmosphere in a place and which newer members could learn from.

^Links absolutely 100% not directed at the moderators here, directed at people who post stuff like the above quote, then leave.

Also not directed at people who just get bored and leave, that happens to everyone eventually.

If you aren't already aware, Kuu is one of the admins here. I'd say you have an official answer in reply #25. Some threads are more inane than others, and personally I rather like the nice mixture of seriousness/semi-intellectualism with trite babble and Pness jokes. Can't get that everywhere on the internet.
