'Foofy'? Never heard that before.

This person's blog appears to be new, are they famous or something?

I think it's the Web version of shilling. She's not real, she's a Web site marketing products for a commercial enterprise and aiming at a young audience. Wait: A young, gullible audience. Who think she's Hanna Montana's sister or something. All her posts are about material things, with brand names prominent.

Stealth marketing?

There was an article about her in Rolling Stone last year.

It is really long and horrible. Read at your own risk.

Summary: She is famous for being famous. Her parents let her add thousands of people on myspace starting at the age of like fourteen, she got so popular she was having serious consequences in her real life, attacks on her family home and death threats and all the while her parents just let her continue because she threw fits if they tried to make her delete her accounts.

She also put up all kinds of stupid videos of her dancing around and stuff on different on line, pretending she didn't know she was being provocative.

I googled her yesterday just because something made me think of the rolling stone article and I guess I was wondering if she had gotten her head straight yet about, I don't know, everything.

http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2012/05/17/wiping-out-90000-in-student-loans-in-7-months/

The 29-year-old from Austin, Texas, is now becoming an Internet celebrity of sorts as financial advisers and young Americans link to his blog, NoMoreHarvardDebt.com, which had 180,000 hits as of Thursday morning. His story is touching a nerve at a time when young Americans are more indebted than ever.

So how did he cut through $90,000 in seven months? It helps to have a low-six-figure salary, as Mihalic does working for Dell Inc.

I didn't mind the overall aesthetic of the page - a dub step track combined with anime esque (high pitched, angelic, albeit fragmented) vocals providing the background and pictures promoting various trendy, I guess, items.

Writing about (or advertising) products "she" enjoy, I don't see what's particularly odd, or critique worthy about that? Unless one wants to express distain towards conformism and consumerism among other things I'd guess, even though such criticism lost it's novelty a long time ago.

That reminds me of the story my 15 year old just told me last night. Him an his buddies were waiting in a wooded area after dark near where we live for a friend that was walking through to meet them, one of them texted the friend "Slenderman" he texted back "screw you" then they all hid behind some trees and jumped at him when he got to where they were and apparently the friend pissed himself they scared him so bad.
