I don't know about everyone else, but I'm finding it hard to keep track of who's really around, who was, and who will be... so, here's the poll I think might clear it up. :D

It's going to run until the end of May, so let us see who's about and who isn't. :p

I'll post a few times in a day and then back off for about a week. I'm just weird like that. =D

I'm only here once every three or four days... neither the first option nor the second. (Once every two weeks? Nonsense!) I picked the first one, anyway, since the honest answer on my part is 'as often as I can'. And I'm not going anywhere either!

Whoops, yea... It's not perfect. Can any of the moderators edit the first option into something like 'more frequently than weekly'?

If not, it can just be corrected some months down the road when someone else gets the idea to do one, too.

If I had more time, I would post every day. Unfortunately, the mundane realities of life limit my posts to 2-3 times a week.:(

I love the paradox of the final option, BTW, since by selecting that option they're participating in the forum and bringing themselves out of lurkdom. So the instant it gets picked, someone's a big liar. :D

It's nothing compared to the twelfth option I had in mind...

"I never registered, but if I did, I would totally pick this option."

It would get clicked, too. You just know someone wouldn't be able to resist clicking it. :D

I figure I am not a daily poster but I still contribute when I can. That puts me at option 2?

Well, it's a scientific poll, so it puts you wherever you would like to be? :p I appreciate you picking something close to what you're doing.

Well... this certainly has a long way to go if all "318 active users" are going to vote... I hope you all can make it in before the end of the month!

I've been busy with visiting family lately, but I try to participate as much as I can. Usually more that a couple times a week. Sometimes daily.

I go here pretty much every day, but I don't post as often as some. Hard choice between "I'm good for it once a week or two." or "I'm winding down, I might be on the way out of here..." but I think I may be well on the way to ignoring/sorting out the problem that has left me out of my depth in the forum.

Not very active overall (the sheer wall of threads, and also the rather gloomy forum color, kinda turns me away a bit) but I'm around from time to time. 12 posts atm as you can see. I'm also in the IRC daily.

I guess I'm closest to "lurking but might post on the right thing" as I don't find a whole lot of threads to post in.

Waterstiller, nooo! (come over to the IRC, then)

seconded, please stay

I feel like you guys do, too. I really appreciate you being around here, Waterstiller - I remember particularly enjoying your posts in my first transient visit to the forum back in October. In particular I was very glad you chose to reveal your deep struggle in this forum and that we could help you in moving past it.

But, I don't think it's quite right to protest the idea that Waterstiller may leave. For as much as we love her being here, I think it's wrong to put pressure towards keeping he here.

I view this forum more as a sanctuary, a refuge, the home of your family... but not necessarily as a permanent residence. It seems right to me that people come and go... and return much later in the hard times, or when they have discovered something great to share, or want to give back.

But, everyone should remember that what Waterstiller has said is an open-ended option of a mere poll. I imagine, were she to decide to go, she would let us know in time for a proper good-bye celebration. :)

Try the bottom left corner, there's a drop-down box for the different colour schemes. Most of them /are/ pretty dark, gloomy, etc. but there's at least one that's brighter.

Oh...very nice, good find. Thanks. Now if the default were just a little less blindingly bright, we'd be in business...

First option.
(I do have times where i don't post, but that is mostly just when i'm visiting my parents and there is no internet) Otherwise i do post a few posts every day. (I certainly read on here as often as i can)

I guess though that i am more active on the irc-channel than here...

PS: Oh and i agree with the "Waterstiller don't go" (unless you really want to ;) )

I come here probably five times a week, but I don't do much posting.
Feel like I don't have much to add. I don't lurk for the sake of it.

I usually post a few times a week, just depending on my interest in the threads. I used to create a lot more threads but lately I've felt like I just don't have anything interesting to say. : /

Heh; well, if I did go I'd leave quietly out the back door like usual. :p

I didn't realize answering the poll in such a way would net me such embarrassment lol. Still - thanks for the love. I find myself being pulled back to this place quite often and doubt I'll ever leave for good.

I post a lot on this forum, compared to other forums I'm a member of (60 posts in 4 four years, to mention one... And I've been on there at least once a month). Definitely a lurker at heart, but I picked #5.

I didn't realise you could see who voted what. Is it like that on all the polls on this forum?

FF have you been cheating on us with another forum? ;)

By the way I'm kind of in the same situation. I'm afraid that there's some suspicious posters and a fair amount of "inside baseball" here that are a bit of a turnoff. OTOH maybe it's just that I go through phases when I go to a forum for a while then do something else for a while.

:D Aye, there's definitely a risk in picking that option... :p Sorry for your embarrassment!

Don't worry, Sybyll. Most polls have hidden answers... I just... arbitrarily decided to make this one public. It probably would have been good to mention that in my original post, but I am only realizing it now, so... Sorry about that!

I just registered, checking this place out, sniffing the milk to see if it hasn't gone bad, kicking the tires.

I'm more of a consumer of forum content than a producer. I think you guys are familiar with that practice.

I enjoy seeing what other people think; I can't meet the people on this forum IRL easily, so why shouldn't I try to spend time with them?

Well... we've got about two weeks left on the poll... and only 74 votes of the 329 "active members" of the forum.

So, you 250 remaining people, it would be a kindness if you would stand up and click an option. :)

Well I am new but voted anyway. I know Intp's are intoverted, but being analytical I am surprized there aren't more members.

It's feels good to hear from the like minded as I spend so much of my time avoiding verbalizing how illogical the rest of the world is.

Has anyone tied in NLP to personality types. That is are Intp's visual, verbal (or verbal digital as some NLP practioners have added this category) or kinesthetic?

I'm suprised how people post.

I also voted too early, therefore I voted on the wrong one.
