Nice.

LOL

When you can produce an article that conveys a message more substantial than garbled nonsense, we can then have a meaningful discussion. Yes, the onus is on you to present a thesis. I am not going to let you get away with simply justifying your position by engaging in rebuttal of another person's position. Though, I am starting to doubt you're able to present a thesis.

To improve your ability to write more ostensibly and succinctly, I suggest you take a masters degree in engineering management, work in the field project management or simply interact with people who aren't deluded into thinking that rhetoric is intelligible. The last point means not to be surrounded by other philosophers.

Personally, I would not hire for any position within an organisation. You would probably cause a firm to loose money. Noting, loosing money is a bad thing. You may just be qualified to sweep floors but I doubt you could undertake the task in such a way that you achieve its desired goal. You would spend most of the time complaining to your fellow colleagues about how the voluntary arrangement is slavery. They would like at you like you're an idiot.

And the reason you wrote that post is...?

Yes, there're reasons behind my actions. Unlike the irrationalists in this thread, I know the reasons behind my actions. The reason why I respond to people who quote me is because I do not wish to be misconstrued, misunderstood or presumed to be conceded.

I'm sure.

Splicing quotes from other threads, clever. How is that going for you, being clever?

Notice in that statement that I used the word 'generally'. The use of this word conveys a specific piece of information. The the information being 'in most but not every single' clarification. If I am deviating from the general it means I am dealing with a situation where other variables are taking precedence.

Nobody quoted you. That's the point. Your promise of "stop quoting me and I will stop replying" was broken.

Your attempts to rationalize and sugarcoat your enjoyment of bitching are transparent.

You're a very confused individual. I did not promise to not reply anymore in this thread.

The "promise" was in regards to Guess and the specific conversation we were having. Are you Guess? The answer is 'no'. Are we still having the specific conversation? The answer is 'no'. The conditions have not been met, therefore, the "promise" is no longer relevant.

What bitching?

Congratulations on "winning" the discussion?

Flagged for spam.

But seriously, the point at which people start to (dis)agree with the person instead of the argument, there is bias and siding, and you can drop all hope of the chance of a reasonable discussion.

Proxy essentially declared himself the "winner" back in post #147, and after a while of him parading around this victory, we became fully resigned to the fact that further attempts at actual discussion with him would be fruitless. It's a typical case of Danth's Law. At this point we can only react with detached amusement as he continues to poke his head back into this thread, frothing at the mouth and sputtering typo-ridden personal attacks like this one:

Combined effort? That makes it a war. Drop the 'we' stuff, that's where this thread has gone wrong.

I'm sorry? Is it my fault that I happen to agree with another poster? I'm not the one who made this a "me versus them" scenario:

You guys speak in a strange language
For a moment there I thought you guys were going venture out of the realm of postulation to the realm of action.
I want to read an argument. If you guys can't construct one, it is not my fault.

Your fundamental premises are abstractions that are vaguely alluded to in language that is not well defined. Now you're complaining that I am the party that is primarily the cause of a fruitless discussion? Is this some sort of sad joke?

I don't know how you could possibly determine whether or not my emotions were roused.

Typos I can understand. You probably have found near ad-infunitum of them in my posts. I can't recognize them. Actually, if you could point them out, and perhaps correct them, I will be able to identify and correct my mistakes in the future. Thank you.

Edit: I went back and looked at the paragraph in questions. Yes, I did notice the mistakes. I think I may need to proof read before I press submit.

It seems at this thread people are now more interested in frivolities rather than the topic. A pity, since it was quite an interesting topic.

I was actually trying to bring the discussion back on track and wrote quite a lot.

How could it be that posts 196 and 197 were completely ignored?
