It's prolly fair to change one's religion if one has a sudden epiphany and realises that one's current one is a delusion and that before one was merely stumbling in the dark as a blind man catching wildcats in a black cave. I don't think one can change one's gender, any more than one's race or eye-colour, yet they are simply trying to change others' perceptions of what their sex is. You can't change your personality.
Name-changing is rather more important; once one has achieved a certain status --- or notoriety for the pedantic --- it's kinda rough on newer members trying to work out who said what in earlier threads. Particularly when one is proposing marriage to different members in each thread.
Making duplicate accounts is as you say verboten. Your leaving the forum would be a tragedy. If you stay, I shall never call you mad.
Besides which you may be able to persuade another mod to do as you wish; but I'm not doing it. You might have the biggest guns, and you might utterly destroy your worst enemy, but if you can't get the support of your people, or if perhaps, your enemies greatest ally dislikes your style, and considers retribution, then you may as well have lost.
