When it comes to music, I can only listen to songs that I can relate to my current mood.
I play groovy music when my mood is up and I play melancholic music when my mood goes down.

Right now, I feel a little down and lonely so this would be my choice right this moment:

Lyrics are not necessarily important, just the feelings from listening to the song.

What songs would currently represent your feelings?

My mind is a complete mess now. Perhaps some forms of free jazz, or some twelve-tone compositions would best represent it. Neither, especially the latter, in compositional technique, but in the sounding result.

I am addicted to music... and I can listen only to music that represents my own mood. I usually listen to soundtracks, or songs without any lyrics, but I like some normal songs too. I don't categorize myself as "One-style-guy", because I can find something great in (almost) every style.
From retro [well, young turks, rasputin, etc... lotsa great songs ;) ]: YouTube - ‪Alphaville - Forever Young ~Official Video‬‏
From metal (well, whatev' style it is, it is great! d-_-b): YouTube - ‪Through the fire and flames HQ‬‏
From games (I know, I have choosen the lamest one as first :D ): YouTube - ‪Hotel Mario - Theme Song on the Accordion‬‏
YouTube - ‪Assassin's Creed 2 OST - Track 02 - Venice Rooftops‬‏
YouTube - ‪Burning A Borgia Tower‬‏ (What? I do enjoy their solo :D )
From ani- Well, you know, death note :D

‪Of Montreal - Black Lion Massacre‬‏ - YouTube

I don't know what mood I'm in but this seems to fit it.

Surrealistic, trippy and violent?

My creator appeared to me in the form of a black lion
She checked my temperature to make sure I was ready
It was 106.7, she preferred .8 but couldn't wait
I rode her to the arena
There she licked my foot to rehydrate me
Left me pleading in the dirt
The ministers went silent
Drank milk powders
Spilled some on the infants to begin their rites
People slaughtered each other out of joy
People murdered their pets, pissed on each other
Masturbated in their front yards
Vomited in public fountains
Gouged out the eyes of reptiles and mutilated fish
Then prayed deeply and watched as their bodies transformed
Rejoiced to the process
There were rainbows everywhere
Everywhere

I think that's Herborg Kråkevik singing. Kråkeviks Songbok is really good.

Very poignant. My cheeks are moist. :(
