Damn, I had a bizarre and interesting dream last night. In short, there was some sort of plague or curse afflicting people causing their faces to shroud and hoods to grow from their clothing that would be worn. A particular individual appeared, claimed responsibility for what has occurred and divulged further on how to avoid contracting the affliction. After the individual left a mob of the afflicted were trying to attack me. I ripped the hood off one, shined a torch on his face and his eyes were observed to be completely black. I managed to escape to safety.

I think this dream is a combination of Crysis 2 and some horror films I have seen recently.

the empty black eyes signifies that you have a deep-seated fear of separation that you overlook, because you once ate your mother.

i don't understand how people can take those random dream interpretation-assumptions seriously at all.

I can't say anything about the horror films, as I obviously do not know which ones it is (I don't watch horrors anyway) But I can't see the correlation between what you described, and Crysis 2 =o

Well, people in the dreams did turn into the aliens of Crysis. :P

Of all the media I have encountered I find that games leak most into dreams. TV, movies, books, internet not as much. There must be something about the structure of games or the fact that they have a greater interface/immersion that does it.

i had a dream last week that when 2012 happened, in kuala lampur for some reason there was a massive explosion meltdown thing that ended up somehow disintegrating the earth's atmosphere, so then people couldn't hear sounds anymore and some of them were able to "fall off" the earth into space due to "holes" in gravitational pull. and you could see those holes, they were like silver-outlined blobs the size of clouds.

My dreams, as of late, have been getting more and more vivid, though rarely will I lucid dream (is that the correct way to say that?).

My most interesting dream happened one night when I passed out over at a friends house. I dreamed I had become part of the cast of a show I liked at the time (only it wasn't like I was an actor, but that it was real). I won't go into much detail, but I made it with one of the chicks, and the dream was fully lucid.

I dreamed last night I was on the reality tv show "big brother" (group of people living together apart from society, one is voted off by the viewers each week) It had come down to the final of the show and, some how, I was still on. The condition for determining a winner was that everyone had to swallow poison and the last to die wins.

(I wish big brother finals were really like that)

I swallowed the poison and within a few moments everything froze and it felt like I was having a heart attack. A childhood friend saw me dieing and cried my name, then everything went black.

Then I was reborn as a lion cub (it was freakin awesome.) And I was wandering the Savannah for a while and it felt awesome. I started heading for this mountain in the distance when poachers found me and cornered me. Then the dream finished.

I still liked it (:

I can't remember the last time I've had a "surreal dream" The only thing I ever dream is things that could happen anyway. Like me getting alot of money, or visiting another country etc.

It actually sucks. I think when people stop to really (by really dreaming, I mean dreams as yours Proxy, outlandish stuf) dream it's a sign of a degenerating imagination. Or is there anyone who actually has some info that points towards the lack of outlandish dreams being connected to something physical? (getting older)

That would be interesting to find out, actually. *Google*

I often have surreal dreams. One of them felt like it lasted several hours. It involved a hotel where I had the ability to levitate babies and could no longer play the piano, people I know turning into drunk driving zombies, a volcano erupting in my hometown, rabid horses attacking me in a cinema, watching a movie about a woman running across Italy without eating or drinking anything, and a giant fireball crashing into the cinema, exploding in the very moment I think "shouldn't it explode now or something?". I "awoke" somewhere in the National Theatre of Norway, where some people told me they wanted to make a theatrical adaption of the dream. Then I banged my head into an invisible wall and woke up in real life.

I've always had very vivid, epic like, dreams, often they are of apocalyptic nature. The colors and general feel of vastness in them is fearsome almost. As though they are more real than reality almost. I can remember many going very far back in my early childhood.

Not all my dreams are like that though, there are many that are merely bland and grey with obvious influence from whatever it was I was exposed to that day.

If I continue to post here regularly, enough to get to know some of you guys pretty well, I will eventually start having dreams now and then with random members here as characters. This always happens to me if I spend enough time on a forum, it used to weird me out, back when I first started exploring the internet and different forums, but now I figure it isn't much different than having people you see often in your real life crop up in a dream.

It is slightly weird, but I have dreamed of people I don't know on other forums I'm a member of's user names before. :P
