I assume one is speaking of the visual rather than the audio?
itunes for mac has something that is called the Visualizer, but it is rather lame in that it is difficult to see it as a graphical score and there is no save option - so if after messing around with it one comes a great effect for a particular tune one has to remember the exact settings or the work is wasted.
I think and hope, that some really bright person can combine the current graphical score software, with the Visualizer program (and maybe a bit of multivariate analysis display routines) and create an App where the listener can create a bit of visual art as a component of a complex graphical score...
If anyone happens to have this piece by Beethoven play it through the Visualizer...

As amazing as this piece stands alone, it is just something else when you've really listened to the rest of the symphony, hearing the memodies (melodies which are attached to memories) in new ways and combinations...
