...or does the spoiler button say 'Dispay' instead of 'Display'?

What gives?

I had to read "'Dispay' instead of 'Display'" for a couple of times before I understood the distinction.
This realization is by far the utmost shocking compared to all those others I have encountered on this forum. I am still baffled. :ahh:

I have a tendency to see every typo or misspelling. It's truly a curse. I'm surprised it took me so long to pick up on actually. Now it's driving me bonkers.

I'd suppose it to be a common OCD under ISTPs. To me, INTPs seem rather passive in this way of notice.

I myself, an INFJ, get aggressive from questions or presented speculations that does not make sense. "THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AKDFJASIFI"

Anyhow, my English is terrible. A person like you, would be a total blessing in my advance. See it as a positive thing :D

That's bothered me for a long time. Especially for an INTP forum it's particularly distressing.

Oh sweet. Please. Tell me about it. I must know INTPs their weakness in full.

INTP's generally like grammatical correctness and parsimony. In this day of computer spell checkers spelling is a given.

I've done some more research.

The prefix "dis" is Latin for "apart"

Pay comes from Middle English, via Anglo-French paier, originally from the Latin pacare to pacify, from pac-, pax peace

So clearly if "dis-pay" means that which is apart from peace, it must be a declaration of war by some unknown foe.

In a dark alley I met a black man with a dildo in his hand.

I can't remember what happened next :phear:

This might be the 40th thread on this topic. Please do a little bit of searching before you needlessly start a new one.

Hey! It says "dispay"!

I thus suffer from dismay, this whole site's in disarray; grammar Nazis would have a heyday! Mayday, mayday! Make it "display," before I assail thee with my death ray! This whole situation is rather gay. The programmer is an INTP gone astray. I suggest we get a petition underway, eh? This situation... We need to assay it.

Okay; I'm going to quit for the day, before I end up with an essay. Don't want your brains to decay. I feel so betrayed. :phear:

It was already noted. It means, "To serve man."

I saw it the first time I logged on. In my world I only fixed problems like that if I were paid to do it. Nobody paid me, so I let it sit there as a the ultimate tribute to the spirit of "Meh." It is a detail, a flyspeck, of no consequence whatsoever since we all continued to function despite the horror of a spelling error on a site purportedly populated by intelligent, educated people.

Women had funny breasts back in the 50's. It's kind of like the Klingons, there are "early" Klingons (small and weak) and "later" Klingons (big and scary). 50's breasts are big and scary like later Klingons.

According to Worf they don't discuss what happened, but we find out in Enterprise it might have been a Eugenics program.

I did notice it when I joined but figured it was best to keep quiet as it was obviously just one of those publicly and quietly accepted embarrassingly white elephants that kinda leaves an awkward feeling about the place whenever it dispays because everyone notices but nobody says anything because nobody else is saying anything....:storks:

You spelled "makes" wrong.

But I don't believe I noticed the "dispay" mistake. I might have and forgotten about it, but I probably didn't. Good call.

Is now an opportune time to question the shrinkage of the male penis since the Klingon Age of Breasts?

Thanks a lot.

All this time I didn't notice it, thought you did a little hack there, and now I am staring at all the "Dispay"s I can.

It's strange I didn't notice it all this time.
