INFP Forum At Globalchatter... gone.

I had a whim tonight to go check out the Globalchatter INFP forum I registered at a long time ago. Apparently it's gone. Some decision of their hosting company, I gathered.

My apologies if it's old news.

A friend of mine, Mongler, hacked into the Admin CP, which consequently resulted in their Admin removing the whole forum in panic when noticing. There was no backup (completely foolish).

Now, for the facts. Most of which I witnessed, and I also have some word directly from Kara.

"Mongler" (a male intj- and again, not one of my alts : P) hacked the site after AlchemistsAngel took out some insane personal vendetta against everyone in the chat room. AA banned everyone for no reason, then posted that she would continue banning everyone who entered chat. Someone then banned AA and unbanned everyone AA banned.

After this, aeon kept deleting the posts that explained the situation. A hacker then took away mod status of AA and aeon. Now, at this point, the Hacker was just showing up on the board as the Admin account, and no one knew it was Mongler until later after he told people in the chat room. Most of us just thought that it was Kara or one of her associates coming back to clean it up after what AA pulled.

After Kara was made aware that Mongler hacked himself into Admin status, she panicked and took the site down. Actually a pity really. I was watching the site get better as Mongler was bored and trying to improve it a bit- but Kara had no way of knowing that there was no malicious intent.. and well, 'Hacking' throws up a red flag of course.

I hope that clears it up. And here is an update from a few minutes ago, straight from Kara, to me:

"I understand it's an inconvenience for the site to be down. it's also an inconvenience for me to have the site hacked and to have to rebuild it. it'll be a little while before I have the time to do it since I'm working overtime and have commitments most nights of the week."

1) ConfusedPersona, I am confused as to your persona and was not aware that we were friends. You're banned now, so it's not like you can answer this anyway. I totally have no idea who you are.

2) Athanais/Prom, it was not to impress you; you've always been impressed with me 'cause I gots dat big diyuck, no further work required. Anyway, "hacking for pussy" is like playing MTG for social credibility -- counter-productive.

The story is pretty accurate otherwise, though.
