I was gone for less than a week and I already have six pages of responses, including comments from NTs wanting to cover themselves in icing and wrap themselves in ribbons for me. What more could I want? Cryptonia was right to send me here. I got a good laugh while reading some of your comments. Lately, I have been spending a lot of time at personalitycafe.com, but it seems to be down at the moment. I can frequently be found either chatting there or browsing the forums. I started out at globalchatter.com, but I had some conflicts with a couple of the regulars due to a game about hypothetical survival scenarios that we were playing in chat. It took a very wrong turn and ended up as a brutal war over objectivist ethics and Ayn Rand's ideas about selfishness being a virtue. Grrrr. You know how we INFPs are about our core values, and such. I still check in there occasionally, but not as often as I used to.

Hmmmm.

I wonder at what point any given individual begins to laugh so hard that the bladder ceases to function. I suspect that this is a highly testable phenomena, given the right laboratory environment.

This is a threshhold we should probably investigate. We can't have people just going aroung "peeing themselves." We must find the appropriate point to cease and dissist with hilarity, just before urination. This could save the public billions in cleaning costs.

What do you guys think? Am I on to something, here?

I'd be your test subject if you could make me laugh without damaging me. You can't put electrodes in my brain or anything, but you can show me funny YouTube videos or tell jokes. I think it would be an interesting experiment apart from the fact that humor would be difficult to administer in measured doses, being subjective. Because of this, you would never know when you were using the proper amount. An amount that would be an overdose for one person would likely be ineffective on someone else.

I can hardly wait for personalitycafe to be accessible again, because I am curious what will happen when my post count reaches 1000. I also want to see if I am winning the election, because I am running for the position of moderator. For now, I think I will work on getting some more of my original music online. I'm not really incapable of finishing things. I just find that I have to struggle a bit to consider things "good enough" to share. I'm so terrified of having my creative products criticized that I hide them from others, then criticize myself for never "finishing" anything.

haha well I hate to tell an idealist something won't work..... but people here don't even use our flashchat. I've never seen more than a person in there at a time. Maybe someone else'll make a new account on a different site and try it out... but I'm dubious.

I think INTPs avoid "chatrooms" because we simply have an aversion to chatting (of the chit variety) in the real world. Now if it was called a "Brooding in silence with the occasional interjection room" you might stir some INTP interest.

When I was younger (early teens) I spent lots of time in chat rooms. I've always had a lot of fun talking to random people and using my intuition and perceptiveness to make bold assumptions about people's personalities...I usually ended up being right, and that's always been entertaining!
