I'm new here. I am a 29-year-old female INFP who collects NT males from various forums. After I gather them together into a single chat room, I can study how they interact and ask them for advice about what music I should buy. I look forward to exploring your forums and will try not to intrude too much. One of my INTP friends from another site told me I would like it here, and I trust him wholeheartedly.

Hello!

It's rare that I see an INFP around here. Welcome!

And, by the way, we do have a chat room here, but it is never used. It may be hard to get INTPs that will want to engage in actual conversation.

I guess we don't particularly like how chat rooms still possess that vibe of "real time" conversation in which social niceties still apply to some extent. I personally would rather take my sweet time to write/rewrite/edit my posts to say exactly what I mean - as opposed to just saying what comes directly to mind (as it typically is in a chat setting).

(...nevertheless...I may consider this....:o)

Greetings. I read your other posts on the other forum but never posted a response. I have so far been too lazy to join in there.

Hello, and welcome. I hope you like it here.

What, flashchat? I avoid that because it's an unnecessary reimplemenation of IRC, but slower, more bloated, and with fewer features. If we had an IRC channel I might use that, but not flashchat.

^ likes INTPness ^

That, sir, was a horrible greeting.

Yes, I am also an introverted intuitive perceiving type and can relate to your preference for carefully considered communication. Chatting never expresses what I mean quite as clearly as revising a post until it matches my intentions. As spontaneous as I am about many things in my life, language does not flow smoothly unless I have time to assemble the ideas like puzzle pieces. This can only occur after they have manifested externally in some form, and a changeable medium allows for greater creativity.

Uh oh, I like music and I'm an INTP...though borderline INFP myself. Welcome, and enjoy the INXPness!

Oh, and with your gathering tendency..perhaps squirrel would be a more appropriate username. ;)

lol I don't think the others were really "scared away." We have a sample size of... what... 4 non-INTPs who've ever stopped by here? I think they just got bored or couldn't really relate.

Greetings, Snail, and welcome.

I'd fill this space with snappy loquaciousness and witty repartee, but here in the frozen norths of Canada, it is almost 4 a.m. and I suppose some sleep is required. (...damn corporeal existence).

Hope you enloy our little sane asylum watched over by our Keepers of the Keys, loveofreason (...float like a butterfly, stomp like a T-rex) and Jesin (...whom I can't still figure out who's winning the game of tic-tac-toe on his avatar).

...and take caution that you don't get stepped on by NoID10ts, our local jack-in-the-box/village idiot/trickster/jester; which, btw...

Oh, how convenient! We were just wondering what to do with all ours.

Would you like them in mint condition or is a little tatty and foxed around the edges OK? Mint costs extra. Just some of us girls might be a little aggressive with our farewell hugs, depending. And some of them have been self-abusing something chronic. Geez. I can think of one or two we might have to pay you to take... nah - tell you what, we'll throw them in as freebies.

No refund, no return. Some of these guys are real one-of-a-kind gems, but others... you really take your chances with second-hand INTPness.

But I'm sure a lady of fine taste such as yourself is well familiar with the pitfalls. You can always donate the lesser specimens to charity auctions.

'k - pick up or delivery? Conscious or unconscious? Clothed or - ????

Just get out.

Get out of the forum you wicked serpent-tongued siren, and never again darken our already bloodstained halls with your foul stench!

We madam, are Intp's, not some bunch of half sensible endomorphic what-nots which ye may bend at will.
We are the upper crust of society, the invisible do-gooders, those who would never fall for such a cruel trick of blatant witchery, for no intp can be bribed, for he/she posses the moral fibre of a peice of political weeta-bix and ye shall find no hope here!!!

GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!!!!

Lov., when you say stuff like that you are just asking for the blue man to come back. Watch what you say!

wasn't it Billy Joel who sang "If I don't get sold

I'll get stuck in the back of the discount rack like another can of beans.

Beware of Wolves (ENFJ) in Sheep's (XSFJ variant) clothing.

The Watch are watching Dragons (INFP). See Guards! Guards! (SJ) by Terry Pratchet. There is a geezer in the Watch called Carrot who must be a ISTJ dogmatic type, who really thinks that all theiving should actually be stopped.

Of course she is! She can't get enough of me! And for the record, my INTPness is not a first hand or second hand affair. More of a both hands kind of thing. :D

They don't, forcing them to rely on the hands of others.

Well when you put it like that she will just think we are freaks. Where's the context, man?

What's that? ......... There is no context? ................ We are freaks?

Right then, carry on!

Hah! My point exactly. INTPness always forces you to rely on the hands of others to finish the job - usually the person who delegated the job in the first place.

You sound like a mad scientist who is about to use our men as lab rats to develope and accomplish an evil plan. ;) Well, good luck with your research and welcome from me too if these freaks haven't scared you away already. :)

If I remember right here used to be a long time ago another INFP named Shaz...

Oh Yeah, Shaz! I think I went on a tirade about the terrors of attending a rock concert, lor seconded it, and that was that.

INFJ named shaz, not INFP... but yea, these two, Shai, gloomy-optimist, and Murkrow are the only 5 of other types I can think of to come by here. No other INFPs tho, that I can think of.

I have Wolves down as ENFJ. This was not an intuitive choice, but worked out by careful observation. They can be a bit impatient on the Judgement function for INTPs. Then they growl when the INTPs and INTPs (Dragons) do not obey.

Wih a name like Snail, I would pen you as a cross between a ESFP and INTP.

I can make the cross to ESFP but only for short durations. For performances as part of personal growth. I expect I am really operating in INFP Dragon mode just slipping into ES to hook the audience, which is necessary for preformance.

So the pen could be INXP for you. I have just, belatedly, seen your INFP type. As you are hooking, I have sort of sussed it in a convoluted way.

I'll gather up the girls.

Girls - do we want this tatty lot for a harem or would you prefer some ENTPs? I've mentioned this before somewhere but I love ENTPness. It is more sociable and tends to come out to play more - a bit more adventurous too. I suppose we could combine them. But I think we should run an assessment centre to see who would meet our standards first.

What do you think?

Have you ever had INTPness? If not, how can you legitamately compare the two? If you have, how many? Is one or two samples enough to discredit the whole lot?

Wow. My eyes really are blue. Some say, my best feature. But on a full moon they change to a weird blood red color. I'm not sure why.

And thanks for the respect. It means alot to me. Then again, I also appreciate being used and discarded, because, well that's just fun (actually, its never actually happened, but it sounds fun :o).
