I like the new suggestion a lot. Very classy. No hint at all of the insanity within. Perhaps there ought to be? Just a tiny bit of bizarre that would be easy to overlook... except once you notice it, it sucks you in.

Perhaps a tiny radioactive cockroach instead of a dot over the first i in thinking?

I've got an idea for a logo. Maybe we could go with a "chasing after rare bovine" theme. It seems that the universal thing that we all share is the drive to pursue knowledge and esoteric trains of thought. It would be cool to have a banner at the top of the page with a person running after a herd of strange looking cattle that represent our various interests, such as philosophy, music, art, physics, etc.

Anyway I finally got around to checking out the other styles for the forum and the default one has a banner at the top. If we have one there why isn't it on the others?

And it's a little weird with the blue and white on this forum. Other forums with the same look are fine, but somehow it seems unnatural here. I'm switching back now.

I don't really have a stunning idea for what a banner could look like, but I think I found a real life mascot. I don't know how much those not raised in the US know about Thomas Jefferson, but he was a highly talented INTP who also happened to be the third president of the United States. Very interesting life worth reading, but more importantly comes this mention that I hadn't noticed before.

While well known as the architect of such buildings as Monticello, the University of Virginia, and the Virginia State Capitol, Jefferson built the more remote and lesser-known Poplar Forest as a place to escape the hordes of visitors at Monticello and seek the "solitude of a hermit."

I think of the INTPf much this way. A place to retreat that allows me to diversify myself more in public than I would be able to otherwise.

So who's for Poplar Forest being the mascot of the INTPf?
