Why does the forum keep going down, lately? Half the time I come here to share bits of my expansive catalog of wisdom, I get a network error or some such thing.

I have gotten some errors as well. When I tried to diagnose the problem, it mentioned something about a firewall (on the server side, and not my own). I'm not sure what the deal is, but I wanted to throw that out there.

i think its a conspiracy. if you pay attention, you'll notice that it only happens at times of the day, and on days of the week. certain other events are happening simultaneously, which absolutely cannot be a coincidence. if you follow the line of reasoning: the forum is up -> the forum is down, you'll notice that the forum goes down subsequent to it being up. anyone else seeing a pattern there? also, don't forget the fact that we have a president. coincidence? and lets not forget the type of people targeted by such atrocities: existing ones. how come people that exist are the only ones affected by this? that can't be a coincidence. there are simply too many things involved in this scenario for it to happen by accident. i defy anyone to prove otherwise.

on the way home from work today, i noticed that people were following me. they very strategically turned off the road in different intervals before i got home. when i talked to people at work, i noticed that they were listening in on what i said. i can't help but think i'm being spied on, especially since these things just so happened to occur on the same day that the forum went down.

XD In history, we're doing a bit on america in between the wars, and my teacher has a little fit (She hates america too, after spending four hours there, she gave the canadian border guard a hug, and she didn't hand in her green card so she's still an illegal immigrant there too) every time she gets onto whoever the guy that came after Woodrow Wilson was 'cos of his 'return to normalcy' policy. She starts going "THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD GIRLS!"

She also spent one lesson going on about how the perfect wedding day was impossible, she gets sidetracked a lot, so it's funny XD

Edit: Yeah... I'm just rambling to myself today I think....

How can someone hate a whole country? I hear anti American sentiment all the time, which is fine, but the same people who say they hate America tend to think that Americans are too simplistic of their view of the world. They say that countries are far more complex and all of it's inhabitants shouldn't be defined by who is in power or because of certain groups within that country.

Can the same philosophy not also apply to America? People are far more complex then that. You just can't reduce them into such broad categories as nationality. It may be fair to group people by religious or political affiliations and ideologies.

Is it fair for me to say I hate Iran? Or Iraq? Or Israel? Or Japan? Or Germany? Is it fair to express hatered for them all just because of something I don't like, past or present.

Even if you disagree with American foreign policy, you have to recognize that America is horribly divided on those issues too. Which means "America" is a loose term that cannot possibly be representative of a single ideology. There are people within our borders that disagree with it's policies, There are intelligent people and unintelligent people here just like there are everywhere.

The forum is only shutting down for Americans, isn't it? You foreign bastards better cut that out or our American collective will nuke your asses into the stone age!

Well, her main problem was the crowds at the mall, and the fact that she nearly got arrested at border control 'cos she wouldn't answer the questions.

Apparently, the conversation went like this:

She just seems to have a habit of arguing with things she finds stupid, and then has to point them out.

I understand, I just don't like the wording. I hate, hate, hate malls and border guards myself. But you can't label a whole damn country based on shit like that. I've been in other countries and didn't like the way I was treated and didn't like certain rules, but that didn't mean the whole people group was in the toilet with me.

Hell, when I was in Israel, I had little Palestinian kids throwing rocks at me and saying "fuck you". What the hell did I personally do to them? I was just seeing the sights and minding my own damn business. But, that doesn't mean I hate all Palestinians.

When I went to the mall in Tel Aviv they wouldn't let those of us with an unkosher cheeseburger sit with those of us with a kosher piece of pizza. That doesn't mean I hate all Israelis.

And there's Melkor. That doesn't mean I hate all Irish.
