Face was giving a warning, which was ignored. General inflammatory behaviour as judged by the mods and some members. Refusal to cease this behaviour. Eventually deemed a troll.

Face was let back in because there was insufficient cause/evidence for a permanent ban, ie given benefit of the doubt regarding his intentions.

Face doesn't give a rats ass about this community. It doesn't take profanity and insults to show disrespect. Even when Face was being even-tempered there was a distinct feeling that given the choice, most of the individuals that make up this community would be replaced by those more in line with their thinking. In the end, those that feel like exiles in their lives would have been exiled from their own sanctuary. I wish Face the best, but that won't be allowed.

*edit* I will soften that a bit to say that Face doesn't care about the community 'As it is'. I'm sure they have vested interest in what they envision it could be, but that's like taking Indian land and acting like they should be grateful for the 'exchange'.

Face made a lot of enemies. Perhaps you are having conflicts with some individuals because you are so clearly supportive of what Face represented. The only problem is that Jesus was a pacifist, which seems pretty diametrically opposed to Face's expressed perspective.

Well, when I studied the bible, I found that Jesus was a very strong person. I don't know what a pacifist really is, but I believe Jesus was a man that had strong convictions. He would uphold those convictions in any way he could. I do not like how people picture him as a weakling who all about "love". Yes, he taught love as being important, but only because it lead to a higher purpose which is understanding and obeying God. In the bible we see him constantly rebuking people.

I don't know...I learned most of Christianity from a fundamentalist Independent baptist church...so they may be a little stronger than most christian churches.

Interesting allusion, because Jesus driving out the moneylenders is far more comparable to our banning of Face than of Face's behavior. This is in many ways a temple for INTPs. Not to worship, but to find peace and community. Face came and intended to make it a battleground full of interesting things. That is appealing to some, just as is the business of moneylending, but it has no place in our temple.

Face could clearly be very popular somewhere else, so I suggest he and those that find his ways more appealing than ours find that place and enjoy themselves. No moneylenders here.

If Jesus had physically attacked the moneylenders the Pharisees would have had everything they needed to imprison him. It seems clear from the context that he used the whip to frighten the cattle and moneylenders away.

I don't think you can take a singular event of debatable violence against a backdrop of 'turn the other cheek' and claim that it invalidates his philosophical claim. Maybe you could point out where Jesus verbally supported the idea of violence as a solution to any particular problem.

A pacifist is someone who despises violence. Nowadays that term is mostly used for someone who is against war.
Trust me, it needs much more willpower and inner strength to solve problems and conflicts with communication than with weapons.
Unnecessary to say that the idea of the pacifist has been bastardized into weakling or coward.
