For some reason, I am unable to find a real active ENTP forum. Any idea where I could get ahold of such a place? I occasionally go mess around in different type forums to get a better feel for the types and my understanding of them. A dictionary definition of each type is useless unless you know their outer workings in addition to their inner ones. Another point of interest, is that though I identify with an INTP, I am very close to ENTP on the test. I am just curious how close.

I tried ENTP.org once and they were fairly..inactive. I believe there were less than 7 active members.

Think about it... if they're ENTP, they're likely out and about immersing themselves in people and activities to dissect and understand like you. But it seems less likely they would do it online.

Presumably the typical ENTP is too busy dominating social media and engaging in face to face ground level debating and interaction to join forums.

haha wow....entp haters!!
(i'm entp so watch out!)

we are actually known to be the most introverted-like extraverts!

but we actually are active in social media haha, there is a facebook group entp. we are less critical than you guys (weaker Ti) and dont hide behind anonymous accounts as much as you guys do, we only see profit/gain/possibilities anyway (strong Ne).

we are like you but we come out more. we are less skeptical. you guys can go for the possible, we can go for the impossible. and still make it happen, well uhm in 50% in the cases (in the other case we just crash of course).

i heard entp's are pretty active on entp forums, since we love to debate (gaining wisdom through seeing more sides to anything). although entp.org is dead now. its probably because entps always go for something new ;)

personalitycafe is still quite active

If you want an extrovert forum, look at personality cafe. It also has active S type forums.

I am looking around there, and hopefully, it will offer a bit of insight to the other types so I can get a bit better at typing close friends and family.

EDIT: Help! They are telling me I may be ISTP....and some of their proofs make sense (ISTJ was far too much of a stretch and I gave them funny glances at that point, however).

Actually, I've been killing the other ENTP's off.

Can't have any competition now, can we?

PerC cafe, unfortunately, is the only thing out there. They banned me under the same username because they are sensitive weenies that like to tattle if you're mean.

That is indeed unfortunate.

I barely visit the place now, mainly out of principle; have you seen how abusive some of the mods are in the spam folders? Talk about drama llama.

What you mean, spam folders? The moderators there suck donkey balls. They will ban anyone for the smallest infraction. I've seen multiple people banned that were "super members" or whatever which takes like posting 1,000 posts. No small feat, and BAM they just don't like something they say, and ban you. I think the mods might be sick individuals.

They are indeed ban happy.

Back when I first started posting there, a user had to be persistent in their trolling / abuse of other members before they were permabanned.

In my humble opinion, they should concentrate more on banning people who propagate misinformation than those who occasionally troll. The misinformation is far more damaging to the community than the odd wind-up merchant.

Agreed. And the thing that I've noticed, and Facebook is like this (maybe bad example), but when a chronic trouble maker does come along, members usually get together and call them out and they either change their ways or just stop posting all together.

These are forums, not physical realities where people can stab you. Sure I suppose there's a super tiny risk of bullying resulting in an already emotionally damaged person hurting themselves, but it has to be miniscule.

I for one relish it when a chronic troll, or inflamer comes along. I've always been good at cutting those people down and have witnessed on dozens of occasions where they back off, or just quit completely.

Let us police ourselves. Only in the rarest of cases should a mod intervene, and even then, shit, at least try to avoid the huge red "BAN" button that PerC must have at every mod's computer desk.
